kevin john hicks: The prediction for your postcode suggests that it's more likely you would be using either Bluebell Hill or Tunbridge Wells rather than Heathfield. There are no recent faults or engineering work showing for any of those transmitters.

We are tuned to heathfield and it was down for a fews hours both yesterday and today. Usual we get 10 for signal strength and 10 for signal condition and during these blackouts they were both 0. It's been happening a fair bit recently affecting our whole area.

Tom peters: If the transmitter had been down for several hours there would be many more people complaining, but since only one other person has posted in the last few days it's almost certainly something at your end. If you are getting a signal strength of 10 out of 10 then your tuner may well be being overloaded and unable to cope with any slight increase in received signal strength due to the weather conditions etc. Try using an attenuator to reduce the signal strength a bit. Another possibility is that some source of local electrical interference is wiping out the wanted signals when the item causing the interference is switched on.

At the moment I can not receive 5USA. It is totally blank, where as all the other free view channels at worst pixelate. Location RH163UE. The aerial is in the loft.

Currently have no signal on any of the MUXs from the Heathfield [Sussex] transmitter. We have a roof aeriel.
It is unclear how to report faults other than by posting here.
Everything was OK earlier this morning. I am reluctant to attempt to re-tune since there seems to be no signal at all. Sometimes we get one f the MUXs drop out for a short period
Our postcode is TN33 9PY but a search using this postcode suggests we are on a different transmitter - but we know we get our signal from Heathfield

H Cloutt:
A check on the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Coverage Checker - Detailed View for your location, shows that reception from Heathfield is likely to be variable or poor. It also shows that Dover would be a better option and would give you more channels. Ideally you need a wideband aerial aimed at 282 degrees for Heathfield or at 69 degrees for Dover.
There is no reported fault at the Heathfield transmitter, so I suggest you check all your aerial cables and connections, unplugging all the coaxial plugs/sockets and refitting them to clear any possible corrosion/oxidation from the contact sufaces.

H Cloutt: There are no faults showing for the Heathfield transmitter, although it is predicted to be variable at your location anyway. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Do you have an amplifier and is it still powered on? Good idea to avoid retuning as all it would have done was delete all of your channels before searching for them again and would never fix a signal problem.
