Geoffrey Davies: BBC News HD & BBC Four HD are on the COM7 & COM7 multiplexes, which are broadcast from the Fenton transmitter on UHF channels 55 & 56. You will need a wideband aerial as all other muxes broadcast from Fenton are at the lower end of the UHF band so most properties will have perviously used a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive the frequencies now in use at the top of the UHF band.

StevensOnln1, Geoffrey: BBC News HD is working on for me from Fenton, before and after your comment; BBC Four HD isn't transmitting in the day so I can't check.

Dan: BBC Four HD timeshares with CBeebies HD. Quest HD is also on COM8 which you could use to check. Bare in mind that you will need a wideband aerial for reception of COM7 & COM8 from Fenton.

StevensOnln1: yes. Everything is still fine here. My point was, the transmitter is fine and it is indeed an issue with Geoffrey's gear :)
NB I am 4.4 miles from the transmitter, as the crow flies.

fincher:
As with some other Sony channels, they are now only broadcast on Local Multiplexes, so if you don't receive a Local channel on LCN7 or 8, you won't get those. As nobody says, try asking Sony.
