Gordon: There have been no recent changes of modulation from DVB-T to DVB-T2 on any multiplex. All that has changed (and all that has had an actual date announced) are changes to frequencies at many transmitters. No one needs to buy a new TV or set top box because of this, please don't post inaccurate advice like this, no one needs to buy a new Freeview HD box or TV because of a reception problem following any frequency change.

Mr D Beresford:

The channels used by the Watham transmitter are as per you final list, the earlier listing you give is incorrect. Use the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker to determine the correct current channels used.

Your listing above shows BBC1 HD and BBC2 HD as C35 (586.0MHz)

All of my receiving devices (TVs, Manhattans etc) are receiving BBC1 HD and BBC 2 HD on C58 (770.0MHz) (If I try C35, there is no signal

Is your listing an old one or are there repeaters using different frequencies for Waltham that I may be on? I am just South of Leicester

Thanks for the reply. I'm not quite sure where this 'Digital UK Coverage Checker' can be found but it
doesn't matter as ......

The correct information can be found at this old listing stored in Wayback Machine .....
Which Freeview channels does the Waltham transmitter broadcast?

I just wonder why the 'site owner' changed the correct listing to non-existent channels

Ok, I think I have worked this out

Somebody is confusing the new channels for the 2020 release of frequencies to 5G with the existing ones.

After the frequency release, BBC1 HD, for example, will release 700MHz to 5G and be allocated C35 (586.0MHz)

Still a year away

Mike:

The link to the Digitaluk checker was provided in MikeP's previous post but here it is again
Digital UK - Coverage checker

The site owner did not "change the correct listing to non-existent channels". On many of the transmitter pages rather than showing current usage, the listings are inadvertently showing the final channels after completion of the 700Mhz clearance and I'm afraid not all of those are accurate. This is due to some bugs in the scripts that collect the data and try to update pages and the site owner has not had the time to correct all the information, there are over a 1000 transmitters & relays around the UK.

That is why we always tell people to put their postcode into the Digitaluk checker to get the latest information about predicted reception at their location and any changes and retuning events. This information has been repeated many times on various transmitter pages on this site.
