Without a full postcode to see what the DigitalUK checker About us | Freeview is giving for predicted reception at your location, we can't give any constructive advice on reception other than to check all you coax plugs, connections, flyleads etc, unplug connectors check for corrosion or other problems and reconnect them. See what signal strengths and quality you are getting for the multiplexes shown in your TV's tuning section. Also check that your downlead looks undamaged and that your aerial seems intact and pointing in the correct direction.
Problematic connections, water ingress etc. can seem to affect reception of just an individual or several multiplexes.

There doesn't seem to be any reports of transmitter problems either by the BBC or Freeview and there's no Planned Maintenance listed.
See my post prior to yours, then unplug the aerial and carry out a full automatic retune. This should clear all previous tuning as no channels will be found. Plug the aerial back in and then carry out a retune, either automatically if that normally works for you without picking up other transmitters, otherwise tune manually using the UHF channels for Rowridge.

Sorry posted this in error on the Whitehawk Hill section.
Re Rowridge COM 5 CH 22 Horz has been either on low / no power for many days, yet vertical polarisation strengh in Worthing has been 100%
I have both H and V aerials installed so I can switch between the two during times of co-channel interference.
As there's no engineering reports of problems has anyone got any ideas.
Many thanks John.

John:
As it's a COM multiplex carrying no BBC channels, there's no reports from the BBC of any problems. And it comes as no surprise to me that I can't find anything reported by Freeview! There's no Planned Engineering listed either. There's no Tropospheric Propagation predicted either (and none present AFAIK). You could try phoning Freeview 0808-100-0288 option 3 but I'm not convinced they'll take any notice unless they've had several reports! Arqiva have never given the impression that they are very forthcoming with fault reports, so I'm afraid your guess is as good as mine.

Sorry Chris only just picked up your reply
I will try the Freeview number as COM 5 CH 22 H seems to have been switched off as its still dead as of today Feb 3rd.
Not a problem for me at the moment as no co-channel interference, but with High pressure building my Sky News reception will be hit on the V aerial.

I don't suppose it's been switched off, but there may be a fault/low power, as previously mentioned can't find a report but although High Pressure doesn't automatically bring co-channel, there is some Tropospheric Ducting forecast for the next 72hrs or so, you may be unlucky then.
How did you get on with Freeview? There doesn't seem to be any issues posted on-line - which doesn't mean there aren't any !!

Hi Steve
A couple of things. First there seems to be a problem with the Email me updates' service on this site as the first I've known of your messages to me is when I login like now.
As for Freeview, I called them and waiting for a promised call back when they didn't have an answer to hand, I texted them when the return call didn't arrive, but still waiting for a reply even to that.
So, as there's still no signal on COM 5 H (COM 6 H is ok) and both are the same 50kW, and I now have an e-mail address for Arqiva technical. I will drop them a line this weekend.
I'm not giving up
John.

If you goto Email settings (the envelope icon on the RHS of the red bar at page top) you should be able to set the frequency of email updates.
Certainly don't give up John. btw I assume you noticed I replied to your tweet!

Sorry Chris for keep calling you Steve, he's a colleague who I've also been chatting to about this.
The good news is COM 5 H is now back up, albeit varying between 40 and 60% strength. At least I've now got an alternative for Sky news and LBC should co-channel be a problem.
Yes I do get regular site update e-mails, it was just that I though by ticking the Email me updates' box a reply would lead me directly to your answer and not a scroll through the Rowridge section but hey it's not a problem.
Many thanks'
John.
