Jean Pocklington :

It would assist contributors if you provided a post code so we could investigate the transmission path from your preferred transmitter to your location.

As your neighbour appear to also suffer the same problem it is likely that there is some common factor.

Unfortunately, Holiday TV is not listed above, but it may well be amongst the 'other' channels (clicking on the 'link' does not show what 'other' actually refers to). It is just possible that it may be being transmitted on an HD multiplex (though without any clear listing it is difficult to be sure) in which case you will need a full HD TV (not just an 'HD Ready' type).

I have undertaken all reset procedures.
Is the freeview channel listing at the top of this site accurate ?.
I can only receive 106 & 107 from the com7 listing for CH33... none of the others listed appear on my freeview box
Is this because the listing is incorrect or can there be a technical reason? I am obviously receiving the 2 channels ok and signal is ok
If the freeview channel listing is incorrect where do I find an accurate one...

Syd: Did the procedures referred to include a "manufacturers reset"'?, also known as "default setting" - "first time installation" etc, as I carried out a manual scan on Mux33 and all 15 or so channels came up perfectly OK, albeit a bit on the intermittent side as Stamford (@ 53miles from Belmont) is not really covered by this station.

Josh :

How old is your dish? Most will last more than 10 years and good ones probably longer. Before I moved I'd had one in place for over 22 years!.

Alan Hudnott: Although Belmont is indeed presently listed in the planned engineering section warning of a possible weak signal, the fact of you being able to view the missing channels via the PVR is inclined to indicate that the signal is being further reduced by the method used to connect the aerial into the TV, as variations in sensitivity between tuners does not generally have such a dramatic effect as you are experiencing.

If the TV's aerial input is fed via being looped through the PVR? try connecting the aerial directly into the TV, if this action rectifies the problem then make sure that the PVR is not set on "economy" mode, as this setting in most PVR's disables the aerial loop though facility in standby.

If of course the TV and PVR's aerial sockets are fed separately via a two way splitter? then that said obviously does not apply.
