My channel 1 on Freeview up to Monday of this week was titled BBC Yorkshire and reception was very good. From Monday the title is York's & Linc's and the reception poor. My aerial is directed towards both the Sheffield and Holme Moss transmitters which are in line from my location to the south of Sheffield.

Mr B.Hanwell: So it's retuned to Belmont...

Judging by your description your aerial is directed to Emley Moor. Holme Moss has not broadcast TV since VHF in 1985!

Unplug the aerial for the first 30% of the scan to miss out Belmont.

I recently moved to Ruskington near Sleaford and was able to receive all the BBC HD channels on my Humax Freeview Box. However for the last week these are plagued with intermittent pixelation on BBC 4 hd in particular which is my fav channel.

Any idea of cause?

gary porter: Check that BBC Four HD is tuned to Belmont on UHF channel 33 and not Waltham on C31. Also, COM7 (C33) from Belmont is on lower power than the rest, according to Digital UK it is 37kW but this is by no means "low" and should be expected to be ample to serve you (possibly local obstructions excepted).

Reception varies throughout the house . Although we live in Norfolk the ONLY Transmitter that we get our Freeview Signal from Aerials is Belmont which is a minimum of 70 Kilometers away . From the roof Aerial to the west of the house we get signals on 22,25,30,53 & 60 . from the same Aerial on the South of the house we get signals on 22 , 25 & 60 . From an Indoor Aerial Upstairs on the West we get signals on 22,25,30,53 & 60 but on another Indoor Aerial on the West we can only get signals on 22 , 25 & 60 . From The BT Broadband Freeview Box obviously we can get any channel that we want .

Keith :- I assume you mean re-tune rather than switchover which was the process of switching from analogue to digital TV some years ago now. My Humax PVR does the auto scan in two stages. The first stage only looks for DVB-T standard channels and then it restarts the scan looking for DVB-T2 channels which are the PSB3 and COM7 services. Did you accidently interrupt stage 2? Just an idea which nearly caught me out when I got my HD Humax PVR.
If you are manually scanning the single channels for PSB3 and COM7 don't forget to select DVB-T2 before you start the scan on each.

I find too often that signals for channels such as BBC4 suddenly switch off when recording a late night program. What is this reason for this?
I'm using the East Anglia signals from the Belmont Tx.
