andrew:

Across the TS13 postcode reception will be very varied due to the nature of the terrain between you and the various transmitters. There are very few parts of the postcode that would have had reliable reception from the main Bilsdale mast before the fire, judging by your post you may have been one who did, there are still some parts that may get a signal from the Bilsdale Quarry Mast.

BUT, as you haven't given a full postcode I can't even give you an idea about what the various reception predictors may suggest (I've just had conflicting results for one postcode!) and it's in a situation that is changing as I post.
This is because Arqiva have just started another relay transmitter at Loftus.

There's even confusion in transmitter names on one part of the BBC engineering site, what I assume is actually Skinningrove get's referred to as Staithes! However I guess BBC engineers may be currently working on predictions for the area as initially when I checked, Loftus was not included but now is.
One point, you are incorrect about the HD channels - all Relay (Freeview Light) transmitters including the current temporary ones have and always have got the BBCB HD multiplex carrying BBC1/2, ITV1,Ch.4 & Ch.5.

I refer you to my earlier post here Bilsdale (North Yorkshire, England) Full Freeview transmitter | free and easy which has links to the various pages of information about the Bilsdale situation - the Freeview one now includes an update from the 29th October.

Channel information for Bilsdale Temporary Mast, Eston Nab, and Arncliffe Wood | Freeview also lists all the relay transmitters and UHF channels including the latest two additions.
I would try a manual tune (auto-tune can sometimes miss weaker signals) on the UHF channels of those transmitters nearest to you, aerial polarisation and direction may not have an effect if the signals are strong enough as aerials have "side-lobes" etc.

Whilst you might not be able to readily reposition a roof aerial, you mention a loft aerial, are you not able to easily reposition it if need be?

If you are disabled or otherwise vulnerable, you might qualify for the free help mentioned on the main Freeview page (ring the free 0800 121 4828) which could include aerial repositioning. You should also have received a letter from Arqiva/Freeview.

andrew:

Just to add to a bit of confusion, according to an OFCOM document I've just looked up, there is supposed to be a relay transmitter at Staithes - very very low power - 4W (2W according to another source!) but is supposedly a relay of Pontop Pike and uses the same channels as the Skinningrove relay - also very very low power (6W) supposedly a relay of Bilsdale. Both are beamed of course, and I assume both get off-air signals from their parent transmitter.
Some parts of your postcode are also predicted to get some signals from Pontop Pike.

Mike Davison:

I'm afraid that's very old news Mike (4th Oct.) . It always was the plan to put up a more substantial temporary mast on the original mainmast site once the fired damaged mast was made safe/taken down which it was (see earlier posts).

I had included a link to the Planning application which has been approved, as well as the general information but I think the site censor/spam filter has blocked it. I'll try putting it in a separate post.

See https://www.arqiva.com/ne…mast for a history of events.

andrew:

As per my previous replies to you, reception can be very varied in your area.
For your specific postcode two different predictors don't predict reception from the Bilsdale Quarry mast (bearing 215 degrees), so you are doing quite well with those signals.
Both those predictors conflict about reception from Pontop Pike (bearing 301 degrees). The BBC one predicts good reception of the 3 PSB muxes and variable for COMs4-6, poor for COM7, the other suggests nothing for all except BBCB which is poor.

Both predictors give very good reception from the temporary Loftus mast (horizontal polarisation bearing 180 degrees) and from Skinningrove (vertical polarisation bearing 20 degrees) both are 3 PSBs only.
You could try manual tuning for the 3 PSB muxes from Loftus (without moving the aerial) the UHF channels are C29, C31, C37 for BBCA, D3&4, BBCB HD.
For info the 3 UHF channels at Skinningrove are C33, C36, C48.

Bilsdale Quarry's channels are as Bildale was, listed in previous recent posts.

I'm getting rather sick of the filter even taking out the link just to the planning site! So here's what to do -
Use your search engine to look for
north york moors planning application search
and then choose
Planning Application Search.
On the Application Search page look for application NYM/2021/0754/FL

The original links gave full details, no doubt if you search the site you'll find them if you want.
