Yes they offered the box free. I received it this morning. It is not the one shown on their site for £49.99 but the older Sagum version which looked like new, but had refurbished on the side of the box. They must have a stock of these to cover this problem which they can not fix.

Hi there,
I am a TV engineer of 20 years service and have a question concerning the recording of Challenge TV on a THompson DTI2600 (160GB).
When i reeboot the guide will populate correctly for a few hours and then Challenge TVs listing just ceases ( becomes undefined in the guide), all other channels are fine?
Im in Paisley PA29NE on Blackhill with a blastng signal.
any ideas?

Blackhill: PSB2 D3+4 mux - Freeview signal...?
I came back from holiday on the 20th Sept and began to notice that some of the recordings I made whilst away showed signs of minor digital signal breakup. Over this weekend [1st Oct]I have complete digital breakup on the PSB2 group of progs
Is anyone else experiencing this?
