Martin:
According to the postcode you submitted on another post, you may get the most reliable reception from a
Sudbury repeater at Rouncefall (check your DigitalUK predicted reception). Your comments in your post here suggest that the engineer that did your "retune" is not familiar enough with local reception issues since the recent transmitter retunes that have taken place. Either that or he didn't advise you appropriately.
The "problem" with your reception issues from Bluebell Hill are most likely due to interference from other transmitters as more transmitters are now sharing these channels.

Paul Cooper: According to the post above yours Bluebell Hill was off air for around 40 minutes yesterday evening. Did you attempt to retune during that time? If so you may have wiped out your channel list. If not, have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

I have checked all connections. We have 4 TVs which have freeview and none of them are receiving any signal, and one of the is using a different ariel so the chances of 2 ariels developing a fault at exactly the same time would be unusual to say the least. At the time if writing this we still have no signal since 18.14 on Friday 17th August and here we are on Sunday 19th.I am in the ME8 postcode area of Rainham
