I live in EH13 and actually find even though I get a stronger reception from Craig Kelly (and thats what my Tv automatically tunes into) it is prone to picture breaking up.

So I use BlackHill transmitter for the BBC channels - manual tune> on frequency C46 (674.0MHz)

Hope that helps someone

Sorry Brianist but this is poor. Suddenly we are not getting some existing freeview channels we got before with indoor aerial. Sounds more like lack of investment and reliable info. throughout this switchover. Roof aerial never mention 5 years ago when we installed ours. Believe our Craigkelly transmitter is 55 years old. Scotland is a windy country , roof aerials are a poor idea- other than if you are installer. More should be invested to sort this issue. Disgruntled Cellardyke

Graham Ellery: If I was you I would wait for the full power service on Wednesday.

The output levels of the transmitters are designed for rooftop aerial reception, this is the same for all parts of the UK.

Central Edinburgh Freeview Half my channels lost!!
Excited about watching freeview HD on my new freeviewHD box, I retuned to watch the first HD broadcasts at midnight.

NO HD channels plus I lost half of my normal freeview channels - all main channels, and ones 'tuned' are not watchable, beyond glitchy.
This has happened on both my new freeviewHD box and internal freeview tuner in TV.

What is going on?!

Hi Dave. Don't panic! Switchover Phase 2 is in progress. Analogue channels went between midnight and quarter past. Digital shortly after. Official word is that the new high powered digital services should be up and running by 6am, although I suspect it will be sooner. Remember that you will need to do a full rescan or initial setup as most of the frequencies will be changing in the next few hours.

Dave: I would suggest going to bed. It takes a few hours to complete the necessary work on the transmitter. In the meantime, all freeview channels except the BBC channels will be off the air. Digital UK says that the work will be completed by 6am.

No freeview channels at all is this due to the switchover? I stay in a flat so is it the ariel that is causing the problem?
