I've got everything apart from the C23 (490mhz) channels. Crystal Palace transmitter. Sharp LC32WD1E. Even a manual tune will not pick up C23. Any clues?

TO ALL: instead of doing a simple "retune" I did a complete "reset factory settings" and it solved all my problems : now receiving all channels in correct order and with perfect reception. Hopefully doing a complete "reset factory settings" will help some of you (this probably helps flushing the Freeview box memory from former "ghost channels"). Anyway thanks and good luck to all of you :) Cheers

One of my freeview boxes would not place the channels in there correct order even after a factory reset, I solved the problem by scanning the box with aerial disconnected after factory reset then scan normally with aerial connected.

Adding to my last post, this also solved a problem on a 3 year old Technica that refused to tune anything in after factory reset. Same trick worked.

I'm like Brian who is a expert in this field and for this type of thing to effect me is madness as i use the very best that money can buy of all equipment and also use one of sussex's leading installers and yet it has all gone pear shaped for me not by much but still not good
I have spoked many times to the bbc and my gut feeling is there not that clever by far
I've had to tell them months ago about the HD sound hardly coming through on some TV's and they have still not addressed the issue but tell me their working on it
God knows what they've been up to my local dealer has a good one month of work to now get through at £50 per visit to hundreds of customers who have got a mish mash of problems across the board

I have an Orion TV32RN10D with built in Freeview. On 4th April I lost all BBC channels except BBC4. Now I can't get any channels, although when I retune it says the retune has picked them up. I have tried retuning without the aerial & then with but still no channels. My roof top aerial is pointed towards Crystal Palace. I also have a set top box that is doing exactly the same. Please help!

jb38: Your post of 13 April 'Selecting "channel update" can in many cases add to whats already stored in a TV or boxes memory and can, dependant on the box or TV, result in the frequently heard complaint of a person losing channels when the device is switched off over night, this in most cases caused by the devices memory capacity having been exceeded during a re-scan.'
I did a scan this morning with the aerial unplugged and then again with the aerial in. AFAIK everything worked okay, other than I have 3 more channels than I did prior to 4 April (118 now)! Haven't worked out what they are as have been out most of this evening.
This morning I noticed that the pictures on the HD channels were breaking up with the digital recorder switched on (but not as much as prior to today's switchover). I tried it briefly this evening and it seemed to be okay.
