Hi there. I live in flats with a communal aerial. I have a TV plugged directly into the aerial socket in the front room and in the back bedroom have a Panasonic Freeview HD box (DMR-HWT250EB) plugged into the aerial socket in that room. The front room is able to receive some channels that the bedroom cannot (specifically London Live - channel 8). I have retuned the Panasonic box countless times including putting it back to factory settings and starting again but to no avail. I am scratching my head as to how two different sets of channels are being received when they are both connected to the same aerial. Any advice appreciated!

milescad: Can you get London Live and the other missing channels on the Panasonic box if you connect it to the aerial socket in the front room?

I've basically given up now trying to get my favourite channels back since the channel frequency change fiasco.
I used to get all channels with good signal from both Crystal Palace and Hannington.
Now I get absolutely nothing from Com 7 (channel 55), no signal or quality from either transmitter but I do get a signal from Com 8 (channel 56) . This is after I fitted a wide band high gain aerial which has proved to be a waste of money and time.
I now have to rely on my Sky box to continue watching the missing channels

sorry to hear the wideband didn't sort it for you,i'm so glad i already made the decision to leave my set up alone until they finish moving things around.
I guess they probably won't be happy until the whole spectrum is sold off for telecoms and we have to rely on streaming everything and pay through the nose for it.

milescad: a Panasonic is far more sensitive then other makes of TV etc. hence you can receive London live on it
Samsung and LG will only operate correctly if the overall quality and strength are above 80 percent and even then they may glitch non and then
my old Panasonic which is still going strong of 8 years never glitches and can receive London live where as my brand new top build Samsung will only glitch

Roger:
Please perform a retune after removing the aerial connection from the back of the TV set. Then refit the aerial plug and perform another retune. Finally check which channels are being received and check the channel numbers against those listed at Digital UK | Home for both Crystal Palac e and Hanningtomn to check that you are tuned to the correct transmitter.

I think your web page for Crystal Palace is incorrect.
In particular, my DVB-T tuner (which does not receive DVB-T2) receives at 586MHz:
8 London Live
50 Sony Movie Channel+1
68 truTV
69 Sony Crime Channel +1
207 Tiny Pop
208 POP Max
790 The Vault
791 Sony Crime Channel
Would you please correct this.
Regards

I'm having a problem with intermittent signal loss from Crystal Palace. Signal - 100%, Quality - 95% on most Mux's and then suddenly the quality can drop to 0% on all Mux's. This happens for a short period of time and then the signal comes back. I get the same behaviour when using a portable aerial upstairs in my house so doesn't appear to be a problem with amplifier or roof aerial. I'm quite far down in Hampshire but do receive a very good signal most of the time. Is there ongoing transmitter work or could my technical issues be more complex?

Peter K: 100% signal stength is too high and can overload the tuner. Search for the article on this website titled "Too much of a good thing" and try an attenuator.
