Andrew Benham: I see it above too, but it is clearly an error. Digital UK should be treated as the most reliable and up to date source of frequency details, rather than this or any other independent website.

Hi recently bought a house in Basildon installed a aerial today but cannot receive any signal therefore I have no channels. Is this because I'm too far from the Crystal Palace transmission point? Thank u all reply's are appreciated.

Tom:
We need a full post code to look up what reception will be like at your precise location, a town name is not accepted by the Digital UK Coverage Checker.
I suggest you double check all the connections between the aerial terminals and the TV set aerial socket. Ensure that the outer sheath of the coaxial cable(s) does not come into contact with the inner conductor at any point, especially where there are any coaxial plugs fitted.

Tom:
As Mike says, need a full postcode as there are patches around Basildon that the signal from Crystal Palace doesn't get to, or could be very weak due to the terrain/hills in the way etc.

Will Channel 55 and 56 be removed from the Crystal Palace transmitter before June 2020?

David belmar:
No-one knows for certain at present AFAIK. Things may become clearer early next year when the 700MHz band is auctioned, but the general feeling is they will be there until 2022, but if they are to go any earlier I'd guess London might be one of the first places, but it's all speculation until OFCOM announces something.

Details on this page may not be accurate. There are 1100+ transmitters in the uk and the site owner has been unable to keep up with all the changes primarily resulting from the 700Mhz clearance programme and some other changes.
