Glen R: Well the problem of being in a dip really (or maybe partially) says it all! as your local Gravesend station only indicates reception being possible on BBC1 until the 18th of April 2012 when stage 2 takes place, although Rouncefall (18mls) / Sudbury (43mls) does presently indicate good reception on the main multiplexes, these two stations being on a single frequency (SFN) - Mux Ch44(BBC1) - Mux Ch41(ITV1) - Mux Ch47(HD)
Crystal Palace (20 miles) Mux Ch25 (BBC1) as well as ArqA & B are also indicated as being possible, but in my opinion not at satisfactory levels to be relied upon.
As far as Bluebell Hill is concerned, only Mux Ch42 (ArqA) - Mux Ch39 (ArqB) and Mux Ch45 (MuxB) are shown as possible on a variable basis.
In your type of situation a person really has to try using different aerial positions, as the signal could well be found to be much better at one end of a building over the other end, and height doesn't always play an important factor either, something I have mentioned numerous times to various people in areas of difficult reception, as the chimney is not by any means always the best position, even if still on the roof!

@JB38-if you look at my prediction for ch 22 from Crystal palace of 9 and 98, you really would not think reception is possible, yet it works perfectly. Glen R's 49 and 94 for mux 2 makes mine look abysmal.

Hi,
I'm out at Marlow (near high wycombe) and tune into the Crystal Palace transmitter.
Does anyone get freeview HD out this far and are there any aerial recommendations?
Thanks

@J Symons-you most likely just need a freeview HD box. You are predicted to have excellent reception.
@Martin-http://aerialsandtv.co.uk/onlineaerials.html look at the Yagi 18a.
For more help, a full postcode is required.

Hi
Up until about four weeks ago we received HDTV reception on our one year old Samsung LED TV. Suddenly we lost it and can't seem to get it back. There had been no adverse weather conditions so don't think the mast has moved. The mast was installed about four years ago and reception strength is about 75% on normal digital channels. Has the HD transmssion been turned down at Crystal Palace, or should I have my equipment checked?
Many thanks
Steve

Our aerial is on a tall mast at side of house, it faces crystal Palace, since switch off in anglia region we seem to pick up the new booster rowthwell Blackwater region. It seems that on BBC HD channels the sound is out of sync with the picture. Can the fault relate that we can receive digital from two regions ?

Steve: I live on Hampshire/Surrey border and I too have a Samsung LED TV that was getting a pretty good HDTV signal but it has since completely gone. It happened a couple of months ago. I've no idea but I'm guessing that the signal has either been reduced or the direction altered. It seems unlikely that we both have faulty TVs.
