darren: Your Meridian signal is probably coming from Blue Bell Hill and it is on channel 24.
Crystal Palace uses (in order of UHF channels) C22 for ITV1, C4 etc and C25 for BBC. The next one is Mux B on C28.
Try and run the automatic tuning scan with the aerial unplugged for C24. Try and get it in for C28. Then manually add C25 and C22.
If it's a percentage, plug it in at 10%.
Once the second stage of switchover has completed at Crystal Palace on 18th April, then you may well be OK.

Can anyone advise? We live in Essex and have suddenly lost ITV 1, 2 and channel 4 about 2 days ago on our freeview digibox, our screen just says signal lost. We can still get ITV 1 on old analogue tv though. We have tried rescanning to no avail.

Freeview HD channels have disappeared from EPG completely.
I have completed your reset procedure every day for the last 2 weeks to no avail. This did happen once before during engineering works on the crystal palace antenna and the reset process sorted the problem out.
Am not happy watching the entire 6nations with no hd... Why does this keep happening? A little bird tells me a subscription fee to he is coming... If this is the case then the misrepresentation clause from the sale of goods act will almost certainly apply. 'freeview HDTV' with no free hd tv to view .... Get out of that one! :p

Rick: You are lucky to have had ANY HD so far. HD is presently transmitted with only 10kW - the power of 3 fan heaters, so reception is severely affected by all adverse weather/atmospheric conditions, interference, engineering works & bad luck.
Basically, your reception is on the edge and will stay that way through the retune 4th April until 22nd April, when transmitter power goes up to 200kW (including the HD MUX). This should solve all your problems without any subscription fee......

Briantist, have you seen there is a common thread to a number of recent posts regarding loss of signal level from Crystal Palace? In my case I now have only Muxes 1, B, and C, with zero signal levels on the others, having had until recently very good signals on all muxes. Is there a statement somewhere which says that the Crystal Palace signal level has reduced and will only be increased to full power on the final swithchover day? I can see from the publicised signal strengths that this is the case, but a statement from the Transmitter Engineering posts might be useful.

Graham: It is legally forbidden for the output levels of any transmitter to be reduced before switchover. This has never happened.
If you have issues, they will be related to reception, rather than transmission.
