mr taylor: STV only broadcasts a HD version of their Glasgow region, which is also broadcast on transmitters across the other STV regions. STV haven't announced any plans yet to broadcast their other regions in HD.

Alison Gerrie The Alison Gerrie: It sounds like whatever is being switched on is causing electrical interference which drowns out the TV signal (quite likely something with an electric motor). It's almost certainly something in or around your property, or a near neighbour, so look for things which are being used when you loose signal. DIY or garden equipment are strong possibilities.

Jonathan Gordon: Your just 25km from the transmitter, so I suspect something drastic has happened to your system, and its just about hanging on on most of the muxes.

Does your TV have a DVB-T2 tuner capable of receiving HD transmissions? If not, that is why Channel 32 is showing no signal.
If it does, then you need to check all the aerial cables and connections carefully.

I am unable to receive STV2 on channel 30 from the durris mast. The reception of all the other Freeview channels is a perfect 10 . The aerial (a log periodic )is outside approx 20ft up on a pole . This channel is classed as local and I am assuming that this means that the signal is only focused towards Aberdeen and not to the rest of Aberdeenshire. I am unable to find any technical data on this local service. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks.

We really need a full posy code in cases like this so that we can cehck whether your location is served by that transmitter and whether it can receive the local multiplex.

Sorry about that I put the post code in the wrong box . My postcode is AB31 4RL and I am on a hillside facing the durris mast which I can see approx 15 miles away , so my aerial is almost line of sight .
Thanks
