YKL, sorry to hear about your poor reception of HD channels. I live in bramham I around 3 to 4 miles south of wetherby and I have been receiving the HD channels okay. Maybe a little dip in signal strength but not much. If you are receiving HD you will be getting your TV from Emley Moor. The HD multiplex is on channel 39.

Hi - I have freeview and my channel five has also been causing me problems - almost drops, then comes back again. it's not too bad if I watch it live as I can ignore it but if I have set the tape it can be a nightmare and not worth watching. Just sticking in here in the hope that the switchover will sort it all out! Penny (YO10)
PS noted with pleasure some positive feedback to Braintist - you ARE fantastic and make it all so easy for us...well done indeed.

Hi
I Live in Askern, north of Doncaster.
When I first installed my Humax HD Box, all the HD channels worked ok, now they freeze after a couple of seconds then screen goes blank.
All the other channels are ok, The Ariel is new as are all the cables, any one else having problems from Emley Moor.

Hi Robert - thanks for your answer. Actually the HD channels came back a couple of days ago but tonight is very poor - including even the main BBC channels so I wonder if it is weather related. I guess my main question is - is it my equipment? or perhaps i need to wait for full switchover in September

YKL,have you any history of bad reception,or
is it recent? My only trouble was last year, during the major work for DSO.Even then I was fairly lucky.Have you had your aerials etc, checked plus all other connections. May be your local conditions in the local area have changed. It can vary fromm house to house. I would of thought with the large increase in ERP you should be ok?

thanks for the reply Robert - I bought this tv at xmas, and previously received freeview through a panasonic HDD DVD recorder with built in freeview and all was fine. and the problems have only been in last month or so. So last night, even with retuning, only had about 99 channels - this evening, the second retuning got me 106 channels. I can see on the notices above now that there may be periodic interruptions. I imagine this could continue until Sept?
