Minor correction:-
C43 is no longer in use at Emley.
What was there now is on C52 the old low power main BBC mux.
C43 has to be lost for use at Sutton Coldfield.

Robert Hill: Yes, I did of course realise that you were only giving a reception report at your location for information purposes, and as such shouldn't really have included yourself in the postings heading, as the main content of it was mainly directed towards Chris.
It was only because the issue of that particular channel number came up that I thought it prudent to give a reminder that its changing next week, as although you personally might well be aware of this fact, that doesn't necessarily apply to all who may be reading through postings concerning Emley.

Eddie.
I think that function has been taken over by the EPG usually selected by the 'guide' or 'EPG' key on your remote.

Hi Mike
I do have a 'guide' button on my remote, but I had no idea (till your reply) that it could show anything more than the current and next program.
Many thanks for your help!

Mux C has been very bad for me these past few days, picture breaking up a lot and it hasn't even been very windy. Bit error rate keeps jumping up to near maximum and strength down to about 30-40%. All other muxes ok.
Just over 24 hours to go to final switchover, perhaps it'll improve after then.

Hi
In an ideal world where my perfectly aligned aerial had direct sight of Emley Moor transmitter.
How many TV, radio and other channels should we be receiving as from tomorrow after switchover?
Thanks

With just under 2 hours to go until the remaining analogue channels are turned off, captions are appearing every few minutes.
Analogue reception has suddenly got a lot worse; are they slowly turning the transmission power down in preparation for switching off? Particularly bad is ITV1 (BBC2's old frequency) where there is a diagonal line pattern over the screen, as if it's getting co-channel interference from one of the Muxes next to it.
Let's hope the adjacent BBCA/ArqB and SDN/ArqA aren't affected by the same co-channel problem!

All digital freeview channel have gone to "no tv signal" at 00:40 on 21/09/11. Is there a fault or is this due to analogue channels turning off?
Thank
