Rich Greenslade: I've found a couple of support threads at Philips/Pace Freeview HD PVR - HDT 8520 thread - Philips - Digital Spy Forums and Philips/Pace HDT 8520 HD-PVR Master thread inc. Bug and Issues List [Part One] - AVForums.com . No sign of this problem being reported, though.
It could be a case of too much signal. If you have a booster, try removing it.
Also look at the Single Frequency Interference page to see if there might be anything else using C26. (RG47SH)

The HDMI on your HD PVR may be interfering with the mux your BBC channels are on.

Try either:

tuning the PVR while connected with scart instead of HDMI

changing the resolution or interlace settings on your PVR.

My Digitalstream PVR wipes out channel 55 when in 1080p, but is fine in 1080i

Your mileage may vary.

interesting..... My house does have hybrid wiring with an amplified aerial so that could be it (which would be good as presumably it will go away when analogue disappears).
If it is the PVR I'll have to try as John suggests and try retuning with the SCART. I'll let you know how I get on....

Despite going fully digital today I am still unable to receive ITV 4 on two TVs which have external boxes.

The Panasonic with built in Freeview has no problem .

They are on the same aerial feed.

Perhaps new boxes would solve the problem

JONATHAN WILSON: No, you will probably going to have to wait until September 2011 when the multiplex goes to full power.

Lark Stoke update: I retuned my Topfield mid week last week and the BBC1 4 second problem I reported above went away. Hurrah! Topfield forums had not come across this problem before - but before I tried any of their suggestions, the retune cleared it.

So I expected great things this morning with the analogue switch-off and digital power increase. But I retuned at 6am (and a few times since then) and things are worse than before April 6th. I have always had problems seeing much of the MUX D channels, but at least the Topfield recognised ITV4/Film4/Yesterday and showed them in the EPG guide. After this morning's retune, they have disappeared completely.
I am receiving Ch 26 and 23 (at Topfield level/quality 99%/99%) Ch 31 (62%/99%) and a few programmes on Ch 57 (40%/35%).
Also, all BBC TV and radio were perfect at 6am but in the last 15 minutes, all BBC TV/Radio stations have almost gone - picture blocked and no sound.

same issue as Syd, no BBC channels, everything else ok though. Hopefully they will resolve the issue soon before the wife wants to watch eastenders...!

BBC ok now but NOT on my philips HDT8520. There must be some issue with that as all other tuners work fine.
I will let you know if/when I fix it....

Right - I've read through the transmission details at the top and note this foreboding section

'Following switchover at Lark Stoke, Arqiva A and Arqiva B will remain on their existing frequencies and powers, and the SDN multiplex will use a temporary frequency. All three multiplexes will adopt their final frequencies and powers during September 2011.'

I'm only 2 miles from Larkstoke so why can't I get, admittedly low power, ArqB? Aerial? I had a new aerial when I got my first freeview box 5/6 yrs ago. I've scanned on Ch60 where ArqB is found at present and get absolutely nothing.
Looks like I have to wait until Sept before I can get my cycling/isle of Man TT/motor sport on ITV4.
Can any reader in this area (I'm in Admington) get ITV4 from Lark Stoke?
Another question - why isn't ITV4, a relatively mainstream channel, on PSB2 instead of minor interest garbage like Rabbit and Gay Rabbit?
