John: If your reason for not wishing to carry out an auto-tune is caused by you possibly residing in an area where your TV or box picks up channels from other stations, then by rights you should really carry out a "first time installation" or "factory reset" followed by "manually" tuning in each of Malvern's six mux channels one at a time, storing the results after each scan.

However although this procedure is not necessarily guaranteed to work is it depends on the menu system used on the brand of TV or box you are using, but select the EPG guide listing menu (or channel edit facility) and delete 15 & 45, then go into your TV or boxes tuning menu / manual tune then entering and scanning C57, this being Malvern's PSB2 transmitter used by ITV1 and which Film4 is also now using.

Check the EPG list to see if Film4 has returned followed by verifying that you can view it, if all OK then repeat the procedure already carried out but this time enter C55 (COM6) used by Film4+1.

By the way, Malvern's six multiplexes operate on the following channels.

53 (BBC) - 57 (ITV1) - 60 (HD service) - C50 (ITV3 / Drama etc) - 59 (Pick TV / Sky news etc) - 55 (Yesterday / ITV4 etc)

John: I had also meant to say that its not possible to add and individual programme to the guide listings screen as it can only be done by rescanning the multiplex that the programme required will be located on, this action updating the said multiplexes contribution to the guide listings screen.

Thank you for this information and your answer.
In fact the signal from Malvern seems to have disappeared completely rendering all channels inoperative. This happened before I had time to try your suggestions. I have now moved my aerial to point at the Bromsgrove relay from Sutton coalfield. So now I have Film4 but I have decided that the freeview service is so unreliable that I will probably switch to freesat. Its a pity (especially the cost) but I have wasted hours on freeview and the frequent signal interruptions that prevent programmes from recording.

thanks again for all your help John

John: Well, although I am unable to comment as to any possible reasons for your continuing bad reception by being unaware of your exact locality, a post code or one from somewhere nearby, e.g: a shop / Post office being suffice, I would however fully endorse anyone's decision to opt for Freesat if they have been plagued with reception problems due to the area they happen to reside in as satisfactory reception of digital transmissions can only be achieved via a perfectly stable signal, this in many cases only obtainable via the domain of satellite reception (Sky or Freesat) this mode offering virtually guaranteed reception for around 99.9% of the time, the odd occasion that it might not do being during a heavy thundery type downpour, or maybe on an odd occasion during the winter months when snow has been deposited within the bowl of the dish, a quick swipe across the dish with a light brush instantly rectifying the problem.

Anyway thanks for your update, and should you at any time require further assistance involving such as Freesat or whatever, please do not hesitate to ask.

Hello
My name is Steven Nettleford and I am contacting you on behalf of a fitness company called to Zero To Hero, who are going to be bringing their exciting fitness event to Worcester for ten weeks starting this September. This email is an introduction to the company.
Zero To Hero is the unique white collar boxing training programme that takes Contenders from all walks of life on a 10 week journey that develops their mental strength and physical ability to levels that they never thought possible under the guidance of experienced Principal Coaches. Contenders are carefully vetted to ensure that they are all regular working guys from Company Directors and Builders, to Postmen, Policemen and from Decorators and Engineers to those in the retail industry. T

Michael Drinkwater (Builder)When I first started Zero To Hero I didn't realise what a positive impact it was going to have on my life. I was a relatively shy person before but during these 10 weeks I have met some good new friends and found myself feeling a lot more confident in day to day life. I'm feeling the fittest I have ever felt and I'm looking forward to continuing to keep fit after this amazing
experience

So whether your motivation is to lose weight, gain new levels of fitness, raise money for charity or simply to experience the adrenaline rush as your name echoes around the arena, the Zero To Hero programme is a once in a lifetime experience, and the cap it all of the ten week event climaxes with a fight televised on sky tv. For any companies wishing to sponsor the event, having 2000 spectators and an event televised on sky tv , this is a unique advertising opportunity. Check out our official website :

steven:
I venture to suggest that this website is not the place to be advertising whatever it is that you are trying to sell. This website is primarily about resolving reception difficulties with television services.
