Any help on this one? My TV reception from the malvern transmitter has always been great, however in the last few days my DVD Recorder has been unable to pick up ITV C4 C4+1 etc yet the TV remains crystal clear. Panasonic helpline guy said the recorders can be a touch sensitive, doesn't really help when I want to record The Killing tonight. Any help greatly appreciated.

BWogan: It does sound like a post-switchover too much power problem. If you have an amplifier or booster you may have to remove it from your system.

Thanks Brianist but the problem occured a few days before the switchover, and there is no booster on the system. Very frustrating.

I live in the WR14 2FD area of Malvern. Can not get BBC 1, 2, 3, News, but can get BBC4 on my Humax 9150 PVR. I have a Sony Bravia KDL32 Tv, which picks all channels, but are blocky on BBC's channels. I have done a fresh retune on the Humax, about 10 times over the past few days since switchover. Sometimes BBC's channels are found up in the 800's, but no picture or no signal. Is there too much power or not enough from transmitter.

Dave Adams: I would start by doing this My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice to the box.
However, the 9150 PVR has been known to have problems during the "mixed mode" situation between the first and second dates of switchover.
So, either wait until the morning of Wednesday 21st September 2011 or clear the channels out by scanning with the aerial out and then do a manual add for:
C39, C41, C44, C47, C51 and C59.

Briantist,
First a thanks for all your previous advice - sure much appreciated by all !
I have a media center and following the 7th Sept switch-over a few of the channels (BBC1, Channel 5 etc) have been dropping out/blocky especially in the morning. I've a couple of questions ...
1) During the 7th-21st period will the transmitter be having work done on it/reduced power for any reason ?
2) Did read previously the power at Malvern was going to be increased in this switchover - is this still the case ?
Many thanks in advance,
Richard
