Martyn crookes:

Which transmitter are you trying to receive PSB2 from? Having worked in the area I would suspect you are likely to be using Waltham but a few hills either side of the Trent may be causing problems.

If you give a full post code, we can look up the reception conditions in Calverton.

Martyn Crookes:

If you are trying to receive from Waltham, there is a bit of a hill in direct line-of-sight, so that may be causing your problem. Best to asked neighbours if they are having the same problem.

For Waltham your aerial would be aimed approximately south-east. You have not told us which transmitter you are trying to use. There is no reported problem with the PSB2 transmissions from Waltham.

You should also check what channel numbers (not the programme numbers) you are receiving and in particular note which is/are giving the problems. The reason for aski g for the check is that you may also get signals from Belmont, near Lincoln.

Hi, on CH24 im missing ITV central??? I have all the other services on that channel which is strange. I noticed that a few months back my ITV was coming from Lincoln so thought my arial might have moved. On checking this i notice it hasn't. If i manual search ch24 it brings up all services in the list bar ITV central. Channel 4 is showing East Midlands Adverts so i know its pointing in the right direction.

Any ideas on why this has happened?? my postcode is NG15 6PE

Steve Matthews: Your closer to Waltham than I am, and you shouldn't be missing a mux. If you are, its a classic sign of something wrong with your aerial system - so check signal levels on all muxes and check which transmitter your on. If all the levels are lower than they should be, and that mux has gone, then start on the signal path, back from the TV. Could be as simple as dodgy (and easily replaced) aerial lead, but after the high winds etc we've had, could be more serious.

Steve Mathews:

You are talking about a multiplex from the Nottingham transmitter, so I assume all your others are tuned to channels 27, 24, 21, 51, 52, 48 and 50. (Those for Waltham are channels 49, 54, 58, 29, 56, 57, 51 and 26 for Nottingham local.)

If you are getting Channel 4 East Midlands then you should be getting ITV for the East Midlands as well - they are in the same multiplex. In Hucknall you should not have a problem with reception so I suspect there may be a need to fully retune the TV set by firstly unplugging the aerial and doing an automatic scan. Then put the aerial plug back in and do a manual tune for all the available multiplexes (the channels I gave earlier). Hopefully that will recover your ITV Central for the East Midlands.
