Hi
After a schedule retune I have lost all channel 21 stations (Comm 4). All other channels have perfect reception.
Can you advise as I have changed nothing here.

Hello Brian.
I noticed there`s no radiation pattern for Ridge Hill, have you managed to make any progress with the second FOI request ?
Did I read somewhere that you say Ridge Hill is a wideband transmitter ? Post DSO it is of course an A group.

Justin Smith: Please see Update on transmitter radiation patterns (BBC FOI request) | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
You should still regard Ridge Hill as wideband is because "Ofcom have projected that a local television service for Hereford could use an Interleaved Frequency on the Ridge Hill transmitter using C51".

Ridge Hill is a Group A area so a TV auto tune will find Ridge Hill channels before it finds the Mendip channels which I think are Group C/D.If you dont want Ridge Hill then the best solution is to disable the regular auto tune function on the TV. You may then need to do a manual tune on the Mendip MUXs.
The other solution if you have a wideband aerial is to point it at Ridge Hill. However that means that you are stuck with Midlands/Central news wich does not cover Gloucestershire.

Chris J - Ridge Hill carries ITV West as an additional channel to bring the right regional news for those in north Gloucestershire.
Bizarrely though, it does not transmit BBC West, which covers all of Gloucestershire's news stories very well. I would advise anyone in north Gloucestershire to either use Virgin cable (if in Cheltenham or Gloucester)or Freesat to be sure of getting BBC West.

I doubt if many are aware of the existance of ITV West as my TV has it at 801 and few devices have the ability to renumber channels. However there is little north Gloucestershire content on their local news because most now cover the area Tewkesbury to Lands end. I already have VM cable so get the local news from BBC West but now also have Freesat so have a backup in place ready to leave VM now the the cost has gone up.

Chris J - I would absolutely agree that BBC West is better than ITV West for Gloucestershire. It's bound to be, given that the BBC region is half the size of the ITV region.
