The symbol shows the location of the Rowridge (Isle Of Wight, England) transmitter which serves 620,000 homes. The bright green areas shown where the signal from this transmitter is strong, dark green areas are poorer signals. Those parts shown in yellow may have interference on the same frequency from other masts.

TIM wardlaw: Arqiva don't generally publish details of what works they are carrying out, just a list of which transmitters are affected each week.

just an observation that i think this whole page needs renewing to up to date transmission facts..
people say all V polarised are 200kw but it still says 50 for the non main stream TV
so which is fact? and so can someone refresh the whole page?
cheers

Transmitter engineering:
We are on the Rowridge VP transmitter and favourite channels are Wild Earth (91) and Blaze (64). Been unwatchable for a good two weeks or so and seems there are more engineering works going on. The picture can briefly be ok, but then returns to pixellation, black screen and flickering. Getting very tiresome!

Unfortunately extended engineering work has been going on with many main transmitters. We know that some of this work involves the maintenance of the mast structure including its stay cables etc. Disappointingly, Arqiva do not publish the details of the work taking place, nor it's duration as much can be weather dependant and involves working close to the antennae so sometimes reduced power is needed for safety reasons.
The channels you mention are carried on the SDN multiplex, but as you haven't given a full postcode we can't comment on your predicted reception of that (or the other multiplexes). Nor can we consider the possibility of interference from a new/upgraded phone mast. Have you received a postcard from Restore TV?

I have lost all stations on CH25 (506MHz). My signal strength is approx 7 and signal quality is 0. I thought initially that it might be weather related but checking the other 50,000W MUXs all have adequate signal strength and quality for a picture . My postcode is SO32 2RR and I have a loft aerial with vertical polarisation. I have tried a manual retune with no effect so would appreciate any assistance you can give on this,

How long have you had the problem? It could be current weather conditions, there is some tropospheric conditions around that will be causing interference problems for some on occasion. Such conditions can be very frequency dependant, so not all multiplexes will be affected, if indeed any others, it just depends on where the interfering signals originate.
That said, in addition to which, although Restore TV say postcards have not been sent to your postcode - see https://restoretv.uk/post…ure/
- there is a Vodafone mast less than 1.5km to the south of you, pretty well directly on the line of site to Rowridge. IF they've recently upgraded the mast to be using the 700MHz band, this could be an issue.
I'd continue to try a MANUAL retune for UHF C25 as your previous attempt(s) may well have cleared the correct tuning with there being No signal.
One other point, with Vertical polarisation, all the muxes are 200kW, I'm afraid the info on this site hasn't been updated correctly.

tony:
It has been explained several times about the fact that the site owner hasn't been able to make time to correct the information about the Vertical Polarisation Power for the COM multiplexes for Rowridge (or some of the other errors elsewhere).
Despite being asked, you haven't explicitly stated whether your aerial is horizontally or vertically polarised, nor whether you get UHF C37 the Local mux which requires horizontal polarisation unfortunately.
Reading back through your posts, the implication is that it's horizontal.
Your reception of the COM muxes should be considerably more reliable with vertical polarisation for Rowridge!
Also, current weather conditions are causing some "tropospheric" conditions which are likely to have a greater effect if using horizontal polarisation simply because most (main) transmitters use horizontal polarisation and so the possibility of interferences from distant transmitters is greater.
The BBC and Freeview have current warnings about the weather conditions -

You've also been provided with a link (more than once IIRC) for what is normally up-to-date listings of which TV channels are carried on which multiplex -

The commercial operators do change some of their channels around periodically. Updates/changes usually happen once a month - often the 3rd Wednesday in the month.
The site software here is quite complex, and the site has a lot of (normally quite accurate) historic data which can't readily be found elsewhere. Unfortunately updates to the OS the site uses, have caused a number of bugs which are not easily fixed and require some considerable time to resolve which the site owner clearly hasn't had time to do. This site is also one of the few where you'll get generally reliable technical help from some experienced engineers rather than some of the fanatics with rather colourful views that you might find elsewhere!

how come all the others work fine com5 doesn't
as it happens i am Vertical and above roof height in Yaptopn BN18 0EG
may i repeat... the other muxes are just peachy fine, perfect picture.... Com5 isnt..
