Dave Lindsay:
Sorry, to answer your question, there is virtually no signal on channel 31, about 1.5 at the most.

Chris Shaw: In answer to your question of a dual-pole aerial: Possibly, but not one for UHF television reception.
If it's vertical (elements up/down) then turn it to horizontal (elements flat) and see what you get on UHF channel 31.
If it's a log periodic aerial then it won't have a reflector. See:
Aerials, TV Aerial and Digital Aerial
If you do get a new aerial then I would get a log periodic one. Mount it horizontally in the loft. If you don't have a good enough signal anywhere in the loft then your plan B is to have it fitted outside.

Dave Lindsay:
Thanks, it's definitely a log periodic aerial. The way it's fixed at present, it would be difficult to turn it the other way. However, without worrying about BBC4 HD very much, I think I'll leave it alone until other programmes start to disappear!
Cheers

Com 7 is being transmitted on VP , direct observation - Ringwood / New Forest, but very low power.
Aerial being used is an external Antiference XG8 into a Maxview variable gain distribution amp in the roof.
But note that Channel 31 can be blocked by box output on HDMI at HD resolutions, 720 and 1080.

Dave,
Vertical Polarized , changed earlier in the year to get all six muxes at full power.
Signal good enough to record Motors TV when my Humax HDR is in stand by.
Signal varies 30-40%

m campbell: Because the signal is not beamed in your direction. See the above map and click "LSOH". Also click "Is the transmitter output the same in all directions?"

Hi, I have been having trouble with break up on all BBC channels (C24), until yesterday, when I have lost them completely. I am at PO9 6HG, so I believe my local transmitter is Row ridge. All other channels are perfectly ok, no break up at all.
I have tried retuning my HDR-FOX-T2, have tried retuning without the aerial connected to clear the channels, but no luck. I have also just used my Freeview tuner on my TV, but with the same results. My aerial is on the roof, but I couldn't tell you what type it is.There doesn't seem to be any transmitter work going on, so I'm not sure where to go from here.

Sirs,
I'm having reception problems. I can't receive the ITV Programs (Channels 3,4,5,6)
I use a Philips DTR 1500 Set Top Box connected to a Philips TV.
I've reset the Digital Box to its Virgin State as supplied by the factory.
My Postal Code is BH6 3HS. It is shown as being in a Good Reception Coverage Area.
The picture quality on all other installed channels is Excellent.
Your Service Notice for the Rowridge Transmitter is not reporting any problems
I'm not sure what my next steps should be. Any help appreciated.
Thanks P.Egan
