VERY POOR SIGNAL DESPITE MOVING .

I see the signal power is low but is there any plan to increase this .

Indoor aerials rarely work reliably and as you are some way from the transmitter they are unlikely to give any satisfactory or reliable results.
A good UHF aerial mounted externally is what is needed (not a 'digital' one, that's a con), aimed carefully towards the Sandy Heath transmitter.
If you put your full post code into this website, you will be able to see the transmision/reception conditions for your location. You will also be able to see whether there are any interuptions to 'line of sight' reception due to buildings or hill - they can cause signals reception problems.

Hi I hope you can help me I have a very poor signal on free view .I am with B T I have had Bt out four times and thay say the signal is strong thay gave me a new box .I have had two aerial men out and thay say the signal is strong yet I am still haveing problems.you are my last hope .i live at Milton Keynes my post code is M K 8 9 AL .

Mrs B Elliott: Your best policy would be to try and ascertain if anyone else (neighbours?) in your immediate area are also experiencing similar problems with reception, which by the way, would suggest as only being of an intermittent nature judging by the number of engineers who have reported your signal as being OK.
My reason for suggesting that you check with neighbours, is that its noticed you reside close the Great Holm fire station, and the problem referred to "might" possibly be connected with the intermittent use of communication devices at said station.
Further advice as required.

Sandy Heath transmission of the HD mux's including channel4 seems to be showing a lot of signal break up
20/5.after 9pm to LittleDownham near Ely cb62ez and was showing some lesser break up over past week.
[I have not found an alternative forum to share such information, however the user interface on this site seems dated and I cannot determine if input is provided from any professional/commercial bodies with transmitter 'responsibility']

Paulj: The breakup is probably due to something at your end, not the transmitter. Check your signal levels - are they high or low? If they are very high (90 % plus), then your tuner is going to hate it, and since HD tends to react to problems more easily than SD, you'll get break up (see 'too much of a good thing' on this site). Or, its its too low, then you need to seek out why. Usual reason is a dodgy connection somewhere in your system.

Thanks, I have yet to check with neighbours about T2 reception, from your reply there is no Sandy Heath issues (as there were Nov 2015) or 'atmospheric' issue.
(usual retort) nothing has changed with my aerial or reception gear as far as I know and I am not aware of what kind of problem these could have that would explain a problem that seems to start circa 9pm ?

Hi I've just had freesat installed single feed . I get 82% signal 96% quality.
I'm a bit worried though as my cable had a few wire bits hanging out the cable at the back of my box and there silver looking I've herd that's cheap cable . Is this bad and will it end up not working . Or is it good silver wire cable .
