Why has Al Jazera dissapeared when I re-tuned? It has also dissapeared for my friend in Worcester some months ago.

From The Wrekin pages today
"This is very likely caused by the high atmospheric pressure affecting various parts of the country, causing lift conditions which allow signals from distant transmitters which cannot normally be received to interfere with the signals from the transmitter you normally use. Do not attempt to retune as this will delete all of your channels which are already correctly tuned. As this is an entirely natural phenomenon, all you can do is wait for the atmospheric conditions to return to normal."

Keith Cunliffe : If you're referring to the new frequency allocations to take effect from Q1 2018, they don't appear to have been published yet for Kidderminster (or for many other smaller transmitters).

Sutton Coldfield
Hi there, postcode B721bY
we are lined up to the Sutton Coldfield transmitter and getting some interference on C40 BBCB TV channels. We get more interference when its rainy or windy but also when its not. Its not all the time and doesn't affect any other channels.
The TV says strength approx 80-95%, quality approx 70-100%. The signal gets grainy when quality drops to 70-80%.
The aerial is a class 1 W type in the loft. It has high quality cabling in the loft to a powered amp that splits the signal to 8 tv points in the house. Ive tried a variable attenuator which helped a bit but didn't cure the issue.
Can you advise what would cause the interference on C40 channels only and not the others?

Thomas Lord:
The most common cause of this type of problem is poor connections between the aerial and the TV set. A bad contact in a plug/socket is the likely cause. It tends to affect just one multiplex. So please check all your aerial connections by unplugging and refitting the connections. Then see if the reception of the BBC B multiplex.
