I live in Lowestoft and I am experiencing a great deal of trouble obtaining a digital image or even a signal when it is raining.
When I do get a signal it invariably breaks up digitally with the frame freezing and the picture distorted. Unfortunately it is not an isolated occurance.
We have had a new arial and had it checked.
Are you able to help?

G B Hunt: This is usually caused by water getting into the aerial cable. Try replacing the cable with satellite-grade coaxial.

I live just outside Norwich but for the Anglia news, i have sometimes reciveded meridan tonight instead of Anglia tonight. Any advice/help

TV reception has gradually deteriorated over the years; this is definitely transmitter related (I have a very high gain aerial system, changes in signal strength are easily measurable and not local effects).
What is going on?

Freeview reception here is bad enough already (DAB is appalling) and many folk cannot receive terrestial digital at all with Channel 5 analog not receivable either.
What is the plan for all Freeview & DAB transmissions to be receivable in the sticks?
I thought I saw a note on this page that transmitter power for digital would be 250,000watts (14 x now) but can no longer see it. So, please give details of "now" and "after" DSO transmitter power for: Freeview (inc HD "after") & DAB.

No, it is NOT the equipment: everyone suffers the same problems and we can measure signal strength.
This winter, as others have said, signal strength has been so low as to render most TV unwatchable. This isn't restricted to a single user, it's many and all over the xmitter area.
I'll accept (just!) atmospherics but not my equipment which is beyond reproach.
