Gavin: You should have a very, very strong signal from the transmitter, I would suggest you try disconnecting the booster from your system.

I live in Norwich and currently receive all freeview channels. By using manual digital tuning on my TV I have checked that all the RFs correspond to those transmitted by Tacleneston. However my arial is different from that of my neighbours. It is pointing exactly in the opposite direction and seem to be vertically polarized as all the teeth of the rake are vertical. Can you please explain? Am I pointing on Norwich Central? (Thought that this relay did not transmit digital at present.).

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm guessing the signal strength must have increased at some point in the last few years, then? The signal used to be really weak because we're on the edge of the transmitter range. Anyway, reception has actually improved again anyway - perhaps weather-related? But I'll try disconnecting the booster if it happens again (not a five-minute job).
Thanks again,
Gavin

Gavin: There have been no changes to the Freeview signal strength for many years, but they will be boosted considerably at switchover.

On what date will C56, C58, C60 be freed up by Tacolneston so that Sudbury can boost it's signal.

jim: C56, C58 and C60 are in use at Dover until June 2012, preventing their use at Sudbury until DSO at Dover.

Thanks for the response however the problem is only between 6AM and 11AM since 9th July, once this period is over all channels resume.
However during this period we have restricted channels. NOT a Freeview retune problem as only 10 to 17 digital channels are available during this period.
