Steve P: all other 76 are the same but then we are on the same communal arial so I guess that's normal. Very frustrating as everything was fine before 28th no problems what so ever.

I am not the trombone band conductor, though now I am intrigued ;-)

Steve P: oh of course 76 trombones DOH!

When I put our postcode in it shows the signal for our missing channels as above average with the channels we still have are at maximum, but as I am not technical it dosen't mean that much. I suppose we will have to get someone out and probably pay silly money....oh well!

Just retuned my box since the signal power increase to SDN, ArqA and ArqB. From having a very good signal with all multiplexes before the 28th (I live approx 2 miles from Wrekin transmitter), now the signal is extremely poor for SDN and cannot be found at all for ArqA and ArqB.

PSB1 and PSB2, the multiplexes that have remained the same since April DSO remain absolutely perfect.

What's going on?

Ivan - that must be Terrible (sorry)

Seems like your aerial has a problem with channels 41/44/47 which it did not have with 54/57. That could be that it is not getting a signal (eg if you have an old ae designed for the 20s) - it may be that 54/57 worked by coincidence of element spacings.

Or it could be that the signal is TOO strong - especially as you are so close. Are you using any amplifier?

Any thoughts as to why when I retuned today I can get all the channels from the Wrekin on our Humax PVR but I'm missing COM4, COM5 and COM6 on our 12 month-old Panasonic TV. They are both fed from the same TV aerial cable and I didn't have any problems before. The aerial is a wideband on the chimney stack installed 5 years ago and is almost line of sight with the transmitter. Postcode SY3 8TA.

I have re-tuned every time I have been told to and no probs. Now the switchover to the wrekin is complete I now get hardly any channels. Equipment and aerial are all upto date so now getting pretty fed up with this digital nonsense. I think freeview should be fixing the problem as it was them that messed it all up. Why should I suffer the costs when its worked pretty darn good for so long.

Lee C: The Wrekin and Winter hill are both forecast as being your best option, and "if" you got good reception before you re-tuned then there is no reason why you still shouldn't.

Important!! You should though carry out a "factory" re-tune (or reset) to make sure that nothing is stored anywhere in the box, as that will upset the re-loading of channels by putting them in the wrong place.
