I wish people would use punctuation and capital letters to start a sentence. Hard to tell the end of one and the start of another without full stops. For those of us with a better grasp of English grammar, I think this is what Daniel Clapham was saying though no need to mention Gold quite so many times in one sentence or post I feel: Are Freeview ever going to get more channels after the retune on 3rd of September in November and December? And are Freeview going to get UK TV Gold as it use to be as Gold as people like old programmes. We have got Drama channel which is very good and they should have Gold on Freeview so people can get Gold free as you don't need to pay for Gold as that shows blackadder and old BBC1 programmes and old ITV programmes and it would be good if they did have a Gold channel on Freeview on EPG channel number 23 or 27. From Daniel Clapham.

Stuart Owens. I see that you are with the grammar police the same as me. I think you are slightly more pedantic than myself though. Laughing out loud because I do not like abbreviations. :-)

Ray Wilcock: Why exactly are you putting your telephone number on the internet...?
If both TVs have no signal then there's obviously a common fault - likely in the distribution of the signal - do you have a booster/amplifier/splitter? Less likely is the aerial itself, and even less likely is the transmitter - if there was a fault with Winter Hill this website would have more than just you complaining...

Michael: There aren't any reception problems from Winter Hill,on any of the Mux's,that i am aware of. Ray's problem must lie somewhere between the aerial and what follows it. In the case of tv's,i usually 'factory reset' them, before doing a re-tune. It's also worth pointing out, that the sensitivity of RF Tuner's fitted in tv's does vary between brand/chassis type. If the signal from the aerial or distribution system has dropped,to a marginal level, some receiver's may still work and other's may not!

Can you watch any of the other HD channels on COM7? Do you have an HD capable receiver that has a DVB-T2 tuner that is able to receive and show all the HD channels?
If you don't have a DVB-T2 equipped TV or set top box then you will not get any HD services.

W sass: Postcode check shows Emley Moor possible at your location. Forcing a re-scan but stopping it before any channels are found should clear the Emley channels out. Manual scan of the induvidual channels of Winter Hill above should get you all the channels you may have lost in the earlier auto-tune. An auto scan may actually sort out your problem but only if you are given the country and region options after the scan so that the yorkshire channels can be ignored by your set or relegated to the 800's.

Hi
I'm trying to find out if there were signal interruptions for the Cheshire area during the period August 2011 - August 2012.
The retailer, at the time, stated there were 'ongoing signal interruptions due to maintenance' to deny a fault with our new tv which was 'blinking' ie going black for a second and returning to normal after.
So if I could find any info re no maintenance/interruptions it may help my claim for replacement, as it eventually suffered screen failure and the 'blinking' didn't stop for 3 years.
They stated at the time that others had reported similar 'interruptions' and I obviously fell for their excuse. By the way, I was using sky tv.
Of course if anybody else fell for this excuse I would be delighted to hear from them also!
Thanks.
