Ryan Harrison: I would still ask whoever manages your communal aerial, as it may need some attention for switchover.

I Live in Girton, Cambridge. For the last 2 or 3 weeks the digital reception throught my tv's built in freeview has been rubish ie. picture breaking up ro freezing. When I watch through my BT VISION box there is no problem. This is a recent problem. For at least 2 years I have had the same set up with NO! problem. Is the pre switch over work being carried out that we don't know about causing the problem. I am using exactly the same arial set up that I have always used. HELP!!!!!!

Just swung my aerial round from Waltham to Sandy Heath as I was missing a multiplex, and retuned. This time missing a different mux. Looking at your site I see that both transmitters are broadcasting on ch.45, presumably knocking each other out. Looking further I see after switchover Sandy Heath will then clash with Belmont on two mux, at ch21 and ch23. This seems to me that it will cause problems around the King's Lynn area where both transmitters can be received. Any ideas on how to overcome this?

Unless they are both in roughly the same direction, it should simply be a matter of using a sufficiently high gain aerial, accurately pointed.
As you probably know, but others may not, "gain" is basically about the extent of directional precision, and comes at the price of demanding more accurate pointing. Tricky in the digital age unless you have equipment, because the traditional "left a bit, Fred" to a man doing the pointing is far harder for digital because you do not get a clear transition to and from best signal, and the equipment inserts delayed responses.
Another consideration is the frequencies at which your ae works best - "Groups"
