Grahame - about 4 or 5 weeks ago (and for the first time since the conclusion of Durris switchover) I also started to be able to pick up viewable signals from channels 51 & 52. Quality is great during the day through to mid evening and then starts to deteriorate. Only get a minor sniff at channel 41. Nothing changed in my equipment or set up and, like you, assumed some work had started early on transmitter. I guess Brian's response shows us both to be wrong - so why is it happening?

Doug: It could just be the effect of other distant transmitters switching over and reducing their interference on your reception.

Neither of the tv's in my house are getting any sound on BBC channels from this afternoon onwards. They both have independent aerials and all the other TV channels seem to be functioning normally. I've retuned a couple of times but still no sound :-(
