Have lost aerial in my freeview box - when i switched on this morning just after 6am I got about 2 mins of bbc news but since then I have nothing - I have tried to re-scan but there are no frequencies available and I can only watch recorded programmes - nothing in my library that isn't recorded. We did have thunder and lightening last night but I was watching TV during it and it was ok.

I posted 27 October 2009 ( All posts by Roger Stansfield | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ) about a deterioration of digital signal from Durris. Now, after today's mini-switchover, everything is back fine and dandy, even from my original (and unchanged) roof aerial. I am pleased, of course, but I feel messed about because of the signal problems and all the propaganda about getting a new aerial.
Thank you for your interesting and very useful web site which has been outstanding compared with some of the "advice" doled out to us.
BBC radio (Freeview) is now transmitting captions that it it is no longer being transmitted but I believe we have BBC Alba TV as compensation!

I live in Aberdeenshire and pick up my tv from the Durris transmitter. I watch ITV3 a lot but we were warned we would need to retune on 15/6/11 which I duly did and subsequently lost ITV3. Are you aware of any problems? I have tried to retune again today and still no luck. All the other channels seem ok.

Briantist: Apologies for making this really fussy point but the "More Info" box under the map at the top of this page says that a WH aerial is required. Shouldn't this now be an AH aerial following Wednesday's retune?

I have also been having trouble with most channels since the 15th of June, I presume it's something to do with the maintenance that has been happening but the signal is still poor.
