kirk: according to the Digital UK postcode checker you should have good reception of Freeview HD from Pontop Pike on C63. You will of course need a receiver which supports DVB-T2, that is a Freeview HD box or a TV with a built in "Full HD" tuner.

Postcode BN10 8HR. Whitehawk transmitter, rooftop aerial, freeview reception. Most including BBC is excellent. ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV2 are unviewable due to permanent pixillation caused by weak signal. Is there a reason for this?
I have replaced the aerial to TV cable and fitted a signal amplifier in an attempt to improve but still ITV1 in particular remains bad.

Seagull 104: I would suggest you get rid of the amplifier, they never help with Freeview reception. Please see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice to help you track down the problem, you should have excellent reception of multiplex 2.

I have just had confirmation that at the digital switchover BBC south east will be braodcast from whitehawk hill and no longer BBC south! are others aware of this?

JONNY: Yes, it's been on the cards for many a year. It makes a lot of sense to get news from the service that specifically covers Kent and Sussex, rather than from Southampton, Hampshire.
Viewers on satellite and cable already get BBC Newsroom South East rather than BBC Southampton Today.

Another region I will be able to pick up during SPoradic E. With a JBX21W on a 20ft guyed mast, I just about get a signal from Brigton. Yet another region to add to my collection.

I have never had any problems with my signal until the Transmitter engineering works this weekend. I have near full signal strength on Mux 2, Mux B & Mux C. However, I have little to no signal on Mux 1, Mux D & Mux A. Is there an ongoing issue with this Transmitter affecting BN1 3AD
