Hi.
Apparently the boxs I bought Friday to get the HD channels, has a Firmware issue which causes the box to crash after a couple of minutes in HD.
An update exists, which hopefully I can now download and update.
Can I also take this opportunity to thank warmly the hard work put in by the 'experts' Mick Dimmick, and of course, Brian Butterworth. It is only through constant contact with this site, and their invaluable information which has given me such a smooth passage through switchover. Thank you so much to you both for all your tireless work - very, very greatly appreciated!!! (Smiley Face applicable here, if it were possible).
Kindest regards,
Tim.

Ever since BBC1 etc. has relocated to C61 on the Waltham transmitter, the reception has been terrible.
Signal Strenth and Quality goes up and down like a yo-yo.
However, all other Muxes on C29, C54, C56, C57 and C58 are perfect with high rock steady Strength and Quality.
I have done all the necessary resets, rescans etc.
Can anyone explain why this is so?

John: Thank you for your Eeyore comments.
You have provided no evidence of a "disaster", the only thing you have pointed out is that some parts of the system at the Digital UK press office have rather misrepresented the changes to over 1,000 transmitters serving 62 million people in 25.6 million homes as a "switchover", whereas it is a colossal and complex engineering task.

Being a loud and proud "Geek" I've been looking forward to each retune to see what's new.
I returned home from 2 weeks holiday last Friday (2/9/2011) and could barely still my beating heart at the prospect of HD.
I'm not after HD for its picture quality (I think my - expensive when I bought it - CRT produces a better picture than a lot of flat screens), it's the 5.1 audio I want (having an equally expensive audio kit connected to my HDR Fox T2). Tears well in my eyes as, here in Derby (Chellaston), when I try to tune to CH58 I'm greeted with a blank.

Just a quick follow up; my "ITV no signal" issue was down to C31 getting retained after manually tuning to the new channels, everything seems ok now after following Briantist's instructions for clearing old channels. Looks like I'll always have to manually tune though to ensure I get East Mids BBC instead of South Yorks/Lincs for ch1 etc. Thanks for the help; reading other peoples issues helped me to resolve mine, I hope this helps others.

Although I've tried various reset methods and always use the channel numbers (29, 54, 56, 57, 58 & 61) to avoid extras it looks like Ill have to try the out, out, in, in method.
Ive been a bit short of time over the weekend (long story) and didnt want to risk not recording Doctors for The Management and living in silence for a few weeks (not to mention her telling anyone and everyone about it for the remainder of my natural).

Hi I'm at NG12 1AJ and using a rooftop aerial tuned to the Waltham transmitter.
I'm missing the BBCB multiplex on C58 - both through a HD-ready TV and a HD-ready PVR. Any suggestions?
(Also, an editorial note, the Waltham page fails to show the channel for mux A.).
