Andy P: The word in your post that stands out is "booster." The new BBCA mux is transmitting at a far greater power level than the old Mux 1 so it is possible that the signal is too strong for your receiver.
Try removing the booster and performing a clean scan for the muxes (look for a factory reset or something along those lines to ensure that the existing channel information stored is wiped first). If you can receive the BBCA mux after this but can't receive the other muxes, you will need to wait until after the final DSO stage in two weeks when it is likely that you will be able to receive all muxes.
A postcode would be helpful to identify what you should be able to receive.

I have tried several retuned since 7th. So far I can still get BBC1 HD, BBC HD, BBC 4, BBC Parliament and the childrens channels. No BBC1, 2, 3 or BBC News.
I am not alone in this respect. Others in north Leeds seem to have the same problem. Any thoughts anyone?

I live to the North of Halifax,HX2 9JY postcode and i can receive clearly some of the multiplexes from the main Belmont transmitter in Lincolnshire using an indoor set top aerial without an amplifier,horizontally polarised.These being Mux PSB1-BBCA on Channel 22,yes including BBC1 for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire with Peter Levy hosting the evening Look North bulletins from the Hull studios there,Mux PSB2-D3+4 on Channel 25 including a slight variation of ITV 1's Calendar evening news bulletin with more East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire matters,both the mentioned mutiplexes above are on full power,100% quality & 71% strength.The only other Belmont multiplex i can receive presently is Mux COM4-SDN on Channel 30 which includes ITV 3,5*,5USA,etc,on 100% quality & a maximum 69% strength.Unfortunately my Goodmans GHD2521F2 set top box which is a Freeview+ non-HD model obviously is unable to receive Belmont's HD programmes on Mux PSB3-BBCB,Channel 28,as well as currently Mux COM5-ArqA on Channel 53 which includes PICK TV,Really,etc,and also Mux COM6-ArqB on Channel 60 which includes Film 4,ITV 4,etc.I understand Belmont's Mux's on Channel's 53 & 60 is currently on very low power until Wednesday 23 November 2011,when its strength will then increase once the main Tacolneston transmitter (BBC East,ITV 1 Anglia) finally switches over to digital completely on that date,due to possible interference issues.

Thanks for the advise about the removing the booster and rescanning for the new BBCA mux

TV will allow for a fun scan (Factory reset)
BT vision box only appears to allow to scan for new channels.
Carried out another full scan on my TV after my first post because the ITV reception had improved. But no improvements in the amount of channels 119 in total.

In answer to `Hacker` Multiplex or Mux is a group of channels transmitted in a `bundle` together.
The following list are the frequences for each multiplex used at the Emley Moor transmitter for the current Phase 1 of switchover : C40 626.0MHz : C46 674.0MHz : C47 682.0MHz : C49 698.0MHz : C50 706.0MHz : C52 722.0MHz. However you should not need these frequences for a Manual tune, the channel number is enough.
For greater understanding of Tv issues I would recommend `Television Viewers Guide` issued each December. A very informative publication that is easy to understand and is independent. It is available to purchase on line, www.viewersguide.co.uk or your local library will be able to obtain a copy for you.

Andy P: Switchover does not bring any more channels if you already had them all, as many people did from Emley Moor. However, it does bring some to everyone and all to most, which was not the case before switchover.

Brian Fileman : The most common reason for this is that your signal is now far too strong and is overloading your receiver.
If this is the case, you will need to remove and boosters or amplifiers you have from your system. If you don't have any, but just a massive aerial, you will have to fit an "attenuator", which you can get for about a fiver.

I'm seeing a few awkwardnesses hidden in the information, such as some BBC channels duplicated during the transition. (Compare MUX B and BBCA)
It explains some of the oddities I've seen reported here, better than leakage from Belmont. You will get duplicates of several BBC channels, TV and radio.
I also suspect the changes on the 7th didn't go as smoothly as expected: the situation changed during the afternoon.
I also note that a couple of commercial broadcasts on Freeview have disappeared: again not a tuning problem. They have stopped transmitting.
