Pete Green: On 28th March 2012 MuxA/SDN changes mode from 2k to 8k(at high power). Although the frequency remains the same you will still need to retune in order to view this mux after the change takes place.

KMJ,Derby: The Digital UK Almanac is showing a change that is not yet in the postcode checker. ArqA will now be moving to C67 (taking over from ArqB) on 28 September. The final channel adopted on 28 March 2012 is now shown as 'TBC'.

This document was republished only a day after its initial release, which did show the same information as the postcode checker.
I assume this is to do with the 800MHz clearance, making space for BBC A to move to a different channel.

Mike Dimmick: Thanks for the info. The postcode checker is usually correct in such matters. I wonder if there were concerns about C56 usage possibly causing interference to the signal from Salisbury.

Hi,
I suspect that I am being a Muppet but where do I find the frequency for a particular freeview channel??
I want to do a manual tune for, say, film 4. I can see that film 4 is mux ARQB but try as I might I can not ascertain the actual frequncy.
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi,
BS36 2hp
I have read and reread the articles re tuning and I want to do a manual tune. However my set asks for a frequency rather than a channel number. Where do i find a listing that cross references channels to frequncies?

One for each Mux.

Any idea when the channels currently transmitting @ 10000 will be increased?

Rune: From above:
Mendip SDN and Arqiva A will temporarily operate on channels 62+ and 56+ respectively (both at 10kW ERP) until September 2011. Final DSO channels will then be adopted, though ERP levels will remain limited until early 2012. Arqiva B will operate on channel 59+ (10kW ERP) until January 2011, when it will move to channel 67 at 26kW ERP until September 2011. Arqiva B's final DSO channel will then be adopted, though ERP will remain limited until early 2012.
ArqA increases from 10kW to 12.5kW on 28 September (changes to 64QAM mode and loses its current +167kHz offset.
