hi. i live in wallingford just south of oxford. i have retuned many times both my sony with built in freeview and a freeview box on kitchen tv and still no picture on itv1, channel 4 and channel 5. before the 14th they were all fine. its becoming very frustrating. please will somebody help me. Scott

Anyone else lose Dave, Quest, PickTV and a few others in the DSO? I can now get all the BBC channels which I couldn't before but I only really ever watched Dave and Quest! Am I right in thinking this should improve after 28th Sept?

Why does Digital UK state that final switchover for Oxford is 18th April 2012 and that group 2 (ITV 1 etc) will move from C68 to C60. Is this the correct channel to try a manual retune as I have seen ITV associated with different channel numbers

Richard: The final switchover changes for Oxford will be 18 April 2012 because the channels selected for the COM multiplexes clash with the High Wycombe transmitter, a relay of Crystal Palace. There are other clashes e.g. Hemel Hempstead Mux 2, but High Wycombe clashes with all three.
At DSO 2 on 28 September, the COM multiplexes will move to their new channels and new modes, but will be on reduced power at 12.5 kW. That's greater than current levels but only one quarter of final levels.
Mux 2 will indeed move from C68 to C60 at DSO 2. To assess whether it will work reliably, try the Teletext test on ITV1 - go to Teletext page 284.
For a manual retune now, use C68. On the 28th, do a full reset of the box to ensure all old information is cleared out.

Ross: For the two weeks between DSO 1 and DSO 2, Mux C moved from C48 to C51 (replacing Mux 1 which closed). This was to allow Sandy Heath ArqB to move to C48. In turn this is so Sandy Heath could release a channel that Sutton Coldfield needs next week.
This means you need to do a full retune, or delete the channels from Mux C and do a manual tune on C51. The box might still think it has BBC channels on C51 so might not store the new location, if you don't do a full reset.

Ross. Yes, quite a few of us in the Aylesbury have lost Dave and some other channels from the Mux C group. Strange how it isn't all channels in that group but hopefully they will be back soon.

I have tried a manual retune on C68 but just get a response from new TV and DVDR of no signal.
This happens with / without amplifier
Other channels have multiplied in number but now but no C68: it was working prior to 14th. Has strength gone down?

I am in Abingdon and having exactly the same problem as Richard, cannot get any signal on C68, manually or resetting my system. Will anything change on the 28th?

Mark Lunnon: My channels are also all correct now, ie ITV signal (what there is of it) seems to be coming from Oxford transmitter. Mux 2 still very poor, but there is some signal there and all the channels are there, so am leaving it now until next retune, and watching ITV on the internet!!

@Michael - Mux 2 moves from 2k mode C68 to 8k mode C60 on the 28th so worth waiting to see what effect this has. Higher channel Nos are higher frequency and can suffer more attenuation from wet leaves on trees etc. C68 the lowest power received here, but no change as far as I can see, so the mixed modes may be confusing your box.
Mux A will move from C51 to become the new highest frequency on C62 - (will have to move again next year as this channel is among those sold off as part of the digital dividend) so we'll probably see complaints about different channels next.
