Hi,
I did a full retune on my LG HD TV yesterday and on my Bush HD box and the sound/vision is out of sinc on HD ITV - what's the problem?

I have retuned my Proline integrated freeview TV using first time installation several times since yesterday but only have access to BBC and some other odd channels, but no ITVs, Channel 4 or 5. Roof aerial, BD227EH postcode. Please help

Sorry to learn that so many seem to be having problems. For me in Wetherby (LS22) the switchover went without a problem. The only small problem was that I first picked up East Yorkshire channel 21 for the new BBCA mux, but deleting the channels and doing a manual scan for channel 47 put that right. The only query I have is that signal strength on all five new muxes (I do not have HD so do not get BBCB on channel 51) has only risen from 75% before to 80-81% (quality remains at 100%) - I would have expected a higher signal strength than 80% now. Why has signal strength only gone up that much?

Lesley Knight: That could possibly indicate that you are picking up Keighley Town's lower multiplex channel numbers rather than the main Keighley station on the much higher channels.
Try manually tuning in Mux Ch58, that being ITV1 from Keighley, or alternatively remove the aerial and carry out a scan without it, this blanking out the channels stored memory, then "before" reconnecting again carry out another auto-scan whilst "at the same time" viewing the channel numbers rising in the progress bar, then as soon at it reaches Ch53 immediately plug the aerial back in again and that will allow Keighley to load.
This said taking it that you are receiving from Keighley, as Emley Moor is also forecast as possible, and should it be this station still use the aforementioned procedure but reinsert the aerial at about Mux Ch38, although no need for the same speed of operation as with Keighley.

Ross T: Don't worry, 80% signal level is as high as you want it - see Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - any more would be a troublesome overload. Remember it is the quality that matters, not the "power level".

Sue: Some other people have also said they have the same problem - I would give My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice a go to sort it out.

I'm a bit confused. My Freeview PVR is reporting a signal strength of around 90% (it was 80% pre-DSO) which I thought was a good thing but that url says that anything about 75% is an overload?
Signal quality was and still is 100% and I've never had any reception issues but should I install an attenuator or even consider replacing my aerial with a cheaper/smaller one?

Hacker: If you don't have any problems with reception, then leave everything as it is. You *may* have extra issues when the 4G mobile networks start using the old TV frequencies in 2013, but you will be provided with a free filter if that is the case.
