John L: You didn't provide a model number - there are a lot of Sony sets on the "won't work" list - TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Have Sony KD28DL10U seems to pick up ITV okay, but is not picking up BBC on 55.
Postcode NR11 7EQ.
No , but am wondering if is too strong?? Can you check this on this Sony?

Alex: This TV is on UK's list of equipment that has a problem with the larger Information Table - http://www.digitaluk.co.u…tnit . That document provides a phone number to contact Sony.

Other posts on forums suggest that you should be doing a retune by pressing a '?' button, which may be on the TV itself.

billy: The overall bitrate of BBC A is higher than Mux 1 was, but the BBC are required to clear Mux B for HD. They have to cram the from Mux B - BBC Four/CBeebies, BBC Parliament, and the national - onto BBC A as well as those that were previously on Mux 1.

For the next two weeks, those services are still carried on Mux B as well as their new home on BBC A, so may appear twice in your .

Overall, the bitrates for each service are expected to be about the same as before , or a little less. CBeebies/BBC Four usually runs about 4 Mbit/s, BBC Parliament about 1.5 Mbit/s, and the radio stations something like 1.5 Mbit/s.

I have the same problem with a Sony KDL32EX403.. Have retuned it twice but no BBC channela. Sony (Pioneer) PVR sees them fine though.

I'm in Sprowston, NR7 8. Haven't tried switching my off yet so may give that a go....

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'

If you have other problems, please provide a full (not partial) postcode (or preferably enter it in box at the top right) and indicate where if aerial is on the roof, in the loft or elsewhere.
