MENDIP 28th March..... ARQ A has moved to ch56 and ARQ B has moved to ch52. All 6 muxes are the same level now. NB ARQ A & ARQ both have FEC=3/4.

Have retuned my TV but am now missing transponder 56 from Mendip - all the others are picking up the correct channels aside from 56

My experience of retuning a HUMAX PVR may be of some help to others whose retuning efforts results in 'loss of TV channels'.
After MUX changes [ie. as of Wed 28 March on MENDIP] - the PVR does not 'delete to old channel info', and even though the new MUX channels are 'correctly tuned' the PVR remembers the 'old info' - ie. selecting FREEVIEW 82 SKY NEWS - results in a 'no or weak signal' display, etc ad infinitum!!
The solution: merely disconnect the antenna, do an automatic retune [magically this deletes old tuning info], then reconnect the antenna and perform an auto or manual retune. [The above is not in the PVR manual [or if it is I couldn't find it]]

Malcolm Brooks: You should try manually tuning it in, that is if your TV allows manual tuning to be carried out as some devices don't.

Are the channel lists for ArqA and ArqB above correct? I am seeing them on the other way around; Yesterday on ArqA and PickTV on ArqB.

Briantist: Could you please correct the listings above both in the MUX listings and in the Transmission frequencies After Wednesday 7th April 2010 sections -
COM5/Arq A is on C56 and COM6/Arq B is on C52.

The After switchover frequency notes (lower down) are correct however.

Everyone, to clarify Arq A (COM5) moved from C67 to C56 today. Arq B was and remains on C52.
Both these MUXes also had a power up as did SDN (C48).
All Muxes from Mendip are now on 100kW.
For the more technical - there have been Mode changes for Arq B and SDN. All COM muxes at Mendip are now using FEC 3/4.

In 2013 (exact date TBC) BBCA/PSB1 Mendip moves from C61 to C49. This is NOT part of DSO, but clearance of the 800Mhz band (C61 and above)for 4G Mobile services.

Hi JB38

TV allows for manual tune - all other frequencies are 100% - Just 56 that shows a big fat zero. Mendip shows that there is some maintenance going on for one week leaving a weak signal, maybe that is it?
