I live in Muir of ord & get freeview signal from the Auchmore Wood relay, do you know if it will ever transmit all the available channels that Rosemarkie broadcasts? At the moment it's only about 15 tv while rosemarkie is broadcasting something like 50+

Brian: No, the commercial multiplex operators declined to broadcast from any of the smaller transmitters as they regard it as too expensive. If you want more channels, and you can use a "Full Service" transmitter, try Freesat - see Compare Freeview Light and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Cheers for the reply,
problem is the neighbours got tall pine trees blocking sky/freesat & we don't have a line of sight to Rosemarkie as we're in a dip.

Brian: In that case, I think your options are limited. You might be able to site a dish somewhere, see Householder guide to satellite dishes | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

I have had perfect reception on all Freeview channels for some time on all 4 freeview boxes (built in to 2 Panasonic Plasma TVs and 2 Panasonic video recorders).
Suddenly today I started to get poor reception on Channel 15 (film 4). I switched to other programs to check them and found that all of the Multiplex channel 50 programs were affected. The reception got so bad that I lost these channels altogether for some time and was getting "invalid DVB channel" when trying to get them.
I tried retuning several times on one of my TVs but it made no difference. Eventually I began to receive a picture on these channels again on all 4 of my boxes even though I had just been trying to reune one of them.
All other programs have remained perfect throughout though when checking signal quality and strength I find that all multiplex channel 50 programs are less than perfect.
When I check with Rosemarkie I find that there have been no issues there today and that the channel 50 multiplex signal from there is "above average". I'm finding that difficult to believe. Can you explain what was going on today?
Regards, Chas.

Sorry. I should have said that I have a relatively new aerial - roof mounted - and my post code is IV2 4LB.

When D3+4 is transferred from C49 to C39+ and Arq B from C50 to C40+, will it be possible to tune in with a digital decoder which only can be searched in whole no. UHF channels without the + offset
link to this comment |
M. Partington: Yes. For C39+, for example, just specifying C39 will tune it.

I have just bought a new car 2 months ago and the radio reception in and around Inverness is terrible, with a continuous background crackling. Is there some problem with radio reception in Highland. If yes, can you suggest a solution?

How Long are the rosemarkie transmitter engineering works going to continue?
The information mentions 2nd December engineering information but it is flagged up 3rd Dec and now 4th Dec. I can confirm poor reception or non existence/low signal strength on the PSB1 set on 4th DEC.
