I think there really must be something amiss with Sudbury's c60, for the following reasons.
I experimented with the aerial in different directions. Tac good on all channels as high as 59. [can't try 62 as don't have hd.] Dutch and French A1 on all channels as low as 21, even though aerial is not designed for group A. Sudbury good on 56 and 58, although tested connections before erecting it, in the garden at only 10ft, and only the muxes on 41 and 44 came in, but that in itself was an achievement.
When Sudbury had a low power mux on c63, I could occasionally receive it, and that was on an old group b aerial.
I would like to blame the Dutch for my problem on c60, but they do not come in on that channel with aerial set to Holland.

Just checking whether this transmitter ws actually transmitting the closing ceremony of the Olympics in 3D - Sudbury transmitter - ? We have a new Panasonic TV and couldn't receive 3D - is it a problem with the TV or the signal??

Hi Tessa,

The Olympics closing ceremony, and much of the Olympics, was broadcast on BBC HD (not BBC1 HD). I even have the recordings to prove it!

Whilst on the subject of the Olympics I noticed something the other afternoon, the living room and kitchen tv's were both on, the living room was on 301 and the kitchen on bbc1, by chance the programme that was being transmitted on 301 also started transmitting on bbc1 when that current sport had finished, I could hear the commentary from both as I walked from one room to the other and noticed that bbc1 was about 1 to 1.5 seconds behind 301.

I hear your experience about where 3D is broadcast, Heinz, - but the BBC were telling us all that the closing ceremony (and the opening one too) was available in 3D on BBC HD - and Norm de Plume (like the sense of humour!) says he has the recordings - can you please confirm that was in 3D and was from the Sudbury transmitter?

Tessa, there is no mention of 3D anywhere on the Freeview website. It was available on Virgin Cable TV

British Eurosport transmitted much of the Olympics in 3D on the only 3D channel currently available in the UK - Sky channel 217.

Tessa, the opening and closing ceremonies and each days highlights (broadcast after 11:00pm) were shown on BBC HD (including the Sudbury transmitter) in side by side mode and appeared on ordinary TV's 2 squashed images side by side. This was on BBC HD not BBC1 HD.
