There's supposed to be a big reshuffle of channel numbers on freeview on 19 Sept. Will this mean a manual retune or will kit like Humax Fox T2 and Sony KDL40EX603 just quietly get on and sort it all by themselves?

Hi there.. I have a very silly question to ask... My ITV 1 is Meridian news South on normal channel 3 but ITV HD is ITV central west on HD.... can anyone tell me why is this?

Robert: It is so as to save the cost of producing more streams that differ for each region. See:
ITV1+1, ITV1HD, BBC One HD regional services on Freeview | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice
For the same reason the BBC only has one variant of BBC One HD and regional news programmes don't yet appear on it.

live in the tring area lost all freeview channels at 20.00 hours last night still off this morning...we are on the oxford transmitter.

It seems that Freeview have made some channel
changes but there has not been a "pop-up" to tell us. Anyone seen the "pop-up" in the last 7 days?
As of this moment all the old channels are still there and if I re-tune I get the new ones as well.

Had Toshiba freeview 19" TV that worked perfectly for a year, then unable to tune chanels on C55/C59 MUX. Did full resets/tune etc but did not remedy. I also have 2 old TV's using freeview box, and another Toshiba freeview TV which tune in to ALL MUX available from Oxford transmitter (Ch53, 55, 59, 60 & 62). Had to be problem with TV so I returned it under warranty and have just received it back from repair (new pcb board fitted and apparently tested and ok). When I set it up, still unable to tune in to any of MUX 55 channels - did retune on my other toshiba freeview TV and all MUX channels duly found! Called repairers, who said replaced pcb met manufacturers spec and,Toshiba who could not offer any advice. It seems bizarre that i have 3 ither freeview tuners that work perfectly yet the 19" toshiba no longer picks up MUX55 (using same lead/aerial socket other receivers use successfully).
Live in OX14 and very good signal strength/good guality and no problems on Oxford transmitter.
Original provider of TV has offered me a new like/like replacement but would welcome any views/ideas re this bizarre situation.
