Simon: Are you sure that its a 9200T? as it only has an automatic "software" updating facility and not channel updating.

However, you should try removing the aerial and follow this by carrying out an auto-tune for purposes of blanking the tuners memory, then once complete reconnect the aerial and on the options of the left hand side of the screen select "installation" (password 0000) and then select "manual" tune.

You will see a channel number entered in the bar on the top, click the right arrow on the large centre selection button and the channel numbers will now appear, then using the up down arrows run up or down the list to Ch45 and press OK and the number will then be in the box, immediately it does the signal strength / quality of that channel will appear and so using the down arrow select and press search.

Once done select to store.

Repeat this process until all five muxes from Hannington are captured and stored.

Channels used by Hannington: 45(BBC) - 42(ITV) - 41(ITV3) - 44(ArqA) - 47(ArqB)

Simon: Meant also to add, that whilst in the installation menu you should disable the auto software update facility as well as the regular same, that being the one that has 4.00 as the default setting.

Roof aerial aimed at Hannington. Sometime in September I lost all HD channels on my LG TV built-in Freeview HD. No amount of retuning will bring them back!!

Tried manually retuning and all channels show signal strenth of circa 98% & quality of circa 100% except channel 39!! Signal strength varies between 0% & 58% and quality 0% & circa 2%.

Prior to this I was receiving all HD channels perfectly. Checked the aerial and it does not seem to have moved.

Spoken to LG and they think it is down to the transmitter, which is undergoing engineering work.

I live in Reading and my freeview has been on the blink for about 3 weeks now. it is so bad we cant watch it. it's really crackly and cuts out all the time or has no sound. Have checked wires and unplugged/re-plugged everything and it has no effect. Is there something wrong with the transmitter at the moment. We're east of central Reading.

Haslemere

I have recently started to get additional channels to the limited selection from the Haslemere repeater. My TV labels these channels 800, 801, etc. which are poorly received BBC MuxA channels on UHF channel 45. The only near transmitter with MuxA on 45 horizontal polarized is Hannington. It seems unlikely that I am receiving borderline transmission from Hannington as my aerial is pointing North from Camelsdale and is vertical Polarized. But where else could the signal it be from? could the polarization be rotated by glancing reflection from a hillside?

David: Possibly.

However the COM channels (those that don't broadcast from the Haslemere relay) are at half-power to the PSBs from Hannington. Also, so they can get more shopping channels in, they use a less robust mode. This is akin to being more fragile than the PSBs. So don't get too excited.

Unfortunately the Haslemere relay uses the same three channels as Crystal Palace uses for its COMs which "may" have otherwise have been available.

If you decide to have a shot at Hannington, then without doubt, you need a Group B aerial:

Hannington Transmitter

Reception could be intermittent because you're receiving over the brow of the hill.

Haslemere relays Midhurst which carries BBC South and ITV Meridian Southampton. Hannington carries BBC South and ITV Meridian North. "If" you can receive the COM channels from Hannington, you could combine that aerial with the current one to give you the ITV Meridian Southampton and the COMs.

It really is a long shot and I'm not an aerial installer so I wouldn't like to comment on your chances other than to say that you will be lucky if you do get them!

Hi,

We seem to have had all our BBCA (multiplex) channels become heavily pixelated and the sound badly affected too, such that the whole program stutters to a freeze, since 17th Nov. I'll check with the neighbours, but assume they are not experiencing these problems, as no engineering reports have been posted. Could it be that our 3 year old antenna has developed a faulty connection affecting its attenuation only on this one multiplex(eg water ingress)? I don't want to call in the aerial guys and be charged a call out fee for nothing.

Many thanks

SEAN-

Hi,

The fact that your neighbour has the same problem rules out any issue with your tv.

Is the problems still current?

Is the sound perfect or distorted?

Is the problem affecting more than one tv in the house?

what is your location?

thanks

Jamie
