I have not been receiving HD channels for some weeks now. I cleared the memory and ran Auto Setup with no luck. Cleared the memory again and did manual tuning on 41,42,44,47,49 and 52. Still no HD.

Arthur Turk: When you manually tune to the HD mux (C47), ensure that the mode is set to DVB-T2 rather than DVB-T, if there is such a setting on the manual tuning screen.

Dave,

I can not see a DVB-T2 facility. I have never needed to use such a thing in the past.

Arthur Turk: So does it register a signal when you manually tune to C47?

Should I presume that you have looked at logical channel numbers 101, 102, 103 and 104 for them as they are their new locations?

The TV searches for some time with little activity on the quality and strength bars but never finds anything that it can save.

If I key in the channel number the message 'invalid channel' appears.

Why did HD disappear before the recent channel changes?

I live in a flat in BN20 postal area and the aerial is on the roof. I cannot get any channel in the COM6 Arq B group. I can get most other channels well. I am told this is because the Eastbourne Old Town relay transmitter does not carry this group. Is this correct?

Malcolm: Malcolm: Basically yes, but if you are receiving from any of the two Eastbourne relays then you wouldn't be able to receive either ITV3, Pick TV or Film 4 either as these do not transmit from any of the two relays mentioned.

As Heathfield @ 14 miles / 353 degrees (horizontal polarity) is shown as your main station then (menu allowing) you should carry out a "manual" retune on Heathfields COM6 mux Ch41 and see if anything is received, although its very doubtful if it would be if the communal aerial has been vertically mounted to cater for reception from the local relays, this being something that maybe you could send an update on.

Malcolm: I have read your follow-up posting where you said that you tried manually tuning with no joy:

An update | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice

The Streetview photo of your building shows the aerial on the roof clearly facing Heathfield, and so the Eastbourne relay plays no part in your reception.

Up until switchover, the lowest UHF channel (frequency) used in the 40s was 47. Your aerial system may be filtered to only allow particular channels or a particular range of channels. Now that the lower 40s are in use, and the lowest one is the one you can't receive, I wonder if it is your aerial system which needs some adjustment.
