John Thompson: The digital UK postcode checker predictd good reception at your location, subject to there being no local obstructions such as trees or tall buildings blocking the signal path. A group "A" aerial should (preferably) be used for best signal pick up on the required channels, aerial pointing NE and set for horizontal polarisation.

John Thompson: For ideas of a suitable aerial see:
Digital TV Transmitters
If you have a DIY aerial, then it will probably be a wideband yagi (black tip) which isn't as effective for Group A transmitters like Caldbeck, although you could try it.

Why has the Bigrigg transmitter stopped working? We have no signal on all channels and consequently are missing our programmes.

Veronica Thurgood: Because there is a power outage.
Go to
Fault search
and enter the postcode CA22 2TX, which is that of the transmitter.
