David phelan: You could try using a filter, they are very effective. I use one for Emley Moor to filter out Bilsdale and Belmont. Have a look here for more information:

Ch.56 local TV test 1 and 2 ok in Wetherby as well. Signal level well down on main multiplexes but quality 100%.

Betamax_man: By filtering out Belmont and Bilsdale (so as to receive Emley Moor) you will filter out the new HD multiplex from Emley Moor, if you can receive it and if you have a suitable receiver.

What is the differance between a filter and a anttenuater?
It sounds to me as though they are the same.

David Parker: A filter blocks some frequencies (channels) whilst allowing others; an attenuator reduces the level of all frequencies, which is the opposite of what an amplifier does.

Dave Lindsay: I can assure you that the attenuation of the filter on the new HD channels is not enough to stop the reception of said channels. Don't forget, the aerial will be facing Emley Moor and not Bilsdale or Belmont thus only receiving the wanted TX.

What's this 'Bonanzabonanza' thing that's turned up in place of the 'Comux TV Test' colour bars that was 792? Says 'Starting at 4pm'.
