No Freeview HD from Malvern tonight, or is my set-top HD box playing up?

Phil: Nothing is seen listed as yet as far as any failure of Malvern's HD transmitter is concerned, if its not possible to check with a neighbour to find out if they are also being similarly affected, then try disconnecting your box from the mains for about 60 seconds or so before reconnecting it again.
However, should it subsequently be found that the situation remains the same, then carry out a manufacturers reset on the box, this also known as "first time installation".
By the way, what brand / model of box is being referred to?

My humax finds no HD channels on 60. Never has. Does Malvern do HD or not?

Trevor: Every single transmitter has had HD channels from the switchover. Either there's something stopping your box receiving UHF channel 60, or the box is not a FreeviewHD box - have you tried manual tuning in DVB-T2 mode?

steve: No, not before the end of 2017 (IIRC).
The plan was drawn up to offer these services from 30 transmitters. This will incentivise purchase of equipment with Freeview HD (DVB-T2) tuners in-built. In four or five years time things may change and the services currently with limited coverage (BBC News HD etc) may become more widely available.

We are experiencing breakup on all channels 11 through 132. Has been occurring for about a week. Have reset/retuned - no change. Is there a problem with com5 ArqA.? We live in WR49XQ.
Currently channels unwatchable.

John Brown: Aerials seen in your area would appear to be pointing in a number of directions, as reception in the location given is indicated as being possible from Malvern, Sutton Coldfield and Ridge Hill, aerials pointing towards Malvern being identified by the fact of them being vertically mounted, whereas horizontal on the other two stations.
Carry out a signal strength check on ArqA for the purpose of checking the Mux channel number its being received on, Mux59 Malvern / Mux 45 Sutton Coldfield / Mux24 Ridge Hill.

John Brown: Did also mean to include, that the reason for checking which Mux channel ArqA is being received on is down to the fact of the Ridge Hill transmitter being received on a bearing of 224 degrees whereas Malvern is on 220, and although the polarity of the transmissions are different between the two stations, its still possible to pick up and store the incorrect channel.
If you are unsure where you are receiving from, check your ArqA channel number against BBC1, Malvern's BBC1 Mux53 whereas Ridge Hills BBC1 is on Mux28, and although not likely to apply, but Sutton Coldfields BBC1 is on Mux43.
